We're going for a round two.
(00:00:06)
Honestly, when I made that original
(00:00:08)
video, which was titled VTuber Space,
(00:00:10)
the problem with men's mental health, I
(00:00:12)
didn't actually think it would really
(00:00:14)
gain that much attention. I thought
(00:00:15)
maybe I'd get like a,000 views, be it be
(00:00:17)
a bunch of comments, and that would be
(00:00:18)
the end of it. I didn't think it would
(00:00:21)
go as heavy as it did. And I think one
(00:00:24)
of the reasons why is because I think
(00:00:26)
sentiment has changed over the last
(00:00:28)
couple of years. And I'm going to be
(00:00:29)
honest. I simply say what a lot of
(00:00:31)
people are thinking but are too scared
(00:00:35)
to say it publicly. And I think a lot of
(00:00:37)
people, and I'm not trying to toot my
(00:00:38)
own horn here, cuz I I cringe at myself
(00:00:41)
if I get a little bit too ego here, but
(00:00:43)
I do feel like a lot of people look at
(00:00:45)
me and go, "Hey, you know, you're saying
(00:00:47)
what I'm thinking, but I'm too scared to
(00:00:48)
say it." Because there's a lot of
(00:00:49)
backlash that can come from these kinds
(00:00:51)
of things. And yes, I can be very blunt
(00:00:53)
and very harsh in a lot of my tweets
(00:00:54)
when I talk about these kind of issues.
(00:00:56)
And it's why I'm trying to sort of put
(00:00:57)
them into videos so that way I can kind
(00:01:00)
of contextualize my overall thought
(00:01:03)
process because I see a lot of female
(00:01:05)
YouTubers that actually agree with my
(00:01:07)
sentiment on how I'm approaching these
(00:01:09)
discussions and agree with me and a lot
(00:01:11)
of them have voiced actual support. And
(00:01:14)
I think one of the reasons why one there
(00:01:16)
are people that got angry at me in it
(00:01:18)
very few to be very clear very few but
(00:01:21)
it shows that there is still a lot of
(00:01:22)
support. But I think one of the reasons
(00:01:24)
why now it's more socially acceptable is
(00:01:26)
because there is sentiment changing.
(00:01:27)
There is a realization that a lot of men
(00:01:29)
are now realizing that certain VTubers
(00:01:32)
aren't as
(00:01:34)
as on on on men's side as I think also
(00:01:37)
and this is a saying I always have. Your
(00:01:39)
worst enemy is someone with a good
(00:01:41)
memory.
(00:01:43)
that is as as sane as as good as I heard
(00:01:46)
it from the first time and I always
(00:01:48)
coined it and I'm like that is actually
(00:01:49)
really good because it is it is a a
(00:01:52)
person's worst enemy is someone with a
(00:01:54)
good memory because they will remind you
(00:01:56)
of things and there are a lot of
(00:01:57)
YouTubers that will say one thing and
(00:02:00)
then later on say something else when
(00:02:02)
it's convenient and I do feel like men's
(00:02:04)
mental health is more of a convenience
(00:02:06)
for many female YouTubers and I think
(00:02:08)
some people got a little bit confused in
(00:02:10)
my last video cuz I was talking about
(00:02:11)
Belle and Shy Lily And I think some
(00:02:13)
people thought I was kind of mixing them
(00:02:15)
both together in specific situations of,
(00:02:17)
for example, Ba's tweet when she was uh
(00:02:20)
kind of going after larger male content
(00:02:22)
creators. I wasn't talking about Shy
(00:02:24)
Lily in that context, but I was
(00:02:26)
referring to how Shy Lily at the end of
(00:02:29)
2025
(00:02:31)
made a stream kind of like weaponizing
(00:02:33)
her audience doing the whole sobie so
(00:02:35)
I'm a victim. I did nothing wrong. She's
(00:02:38)
actually the bad one kind of thing going
(00:02:40)
over the whole Cinder drama. And to be
(00:02:42)
very clear, and this is why I think I'm
(00:02:44)
in a unique position in this discussion,
(00:02:46)
is I have no allegiances. I am someone
(00:02:49)
that will call anyone out and say my
(00:02:52)
opinion, no matter who they are. Like,
(00:02:53)
trust me, I've got enemies all over the
(00:02:56)
place. And if you've been around the
(00:02:57)
channel long enough, you know, I've I've
(00:02:59)
ruffled a couple of feathers.
(00:03:01)
But I simply just try to keep it as real
(00:03:03)
as as possible.
(00:03:06)
And I think the reality is is that there
(00:03:09)
are a lot of alliances and allegiances
(00:03:11)
within the Vtuber community. And one of
(00:03:13)
the issues, and this is something I've
(00:03:14)
noticed, and this isn't just like a
(00:03:16)
VTuber issue, this is actually like
(00:03:18)
gaming related, anime related, vtubing
(00:03:21)
related, content creation related, like
(00:03:24)
art related, like there's artists where
(00:03:26)
there's this whole like line being
(00:03:28)
drawn. And this is one of one of the
(00:03:31)
videos that I wanted to make in the
(00:03:32)
future was how anime and politics are
(00:03:35)
becoming a thing that we can't get away
(00:03:37)
from now. And what I mean by that is
(00:03:40)
that politics has been forced into every
(00:03:42)
discussion whether we like it or not or
(00:03:44)
whether it's even needed or not. And
(00:03:47)
it's one of those where it's like if you
(00:03:49)
aren't trying to be political, you're
(00:03:51)
trying to stay neutral. And a great
(00:03:52)
example is that someone like Asmagold.
(00:03:53)
Some people love him, some people hate
(00:03:55)
him, but he is someone that I've watched
(00:03:57)
for a very long time because I used to
(00:03:59)
play World of Warcraft and I used to
(00:04:00)
watch his content back in vanilla WoW.
(00:04:02)
That's when I used to play. And I've
(00:04:04)
watched him as he's progressed. And he
(00:04:06)
is someone that's generally stayed
(00:04:08)
pretty neutral on politics, but then as
(00:04:10)
time has gone on, he has been forced
(00:04:12)
into the political landscape of
(00:04:13)
discussing things. And I feel like I am
(00:04:16)
very similar to him, but just on a much
(00:04:17)
more smaller scale, right? I'm not Asmin
(00:04:20)
Gold. not big like him and I don't think
(00:04:22)
I ever will be. I don't really ever feel
(00:04:25)
the need to, but I still want to give my
(00:04:27)
own opinions. And I do feel like there's
(00:04:29)
some similarities there where I feel
(00:04:30)
like I've tried to stay out of politics
(00:04:32)
and tried to be very neutral. And I've
(00:04:34)
been forced into it more and more and
(00:04:35)
more and more. And especially when you
(00:04:36)
look at things like the anime community
(00:04:39)
and how voice acting, subransations,
(00:04:43)
light novels, mangas, animations, all
(00:04:45)
these things end up having politics
(00:04:47)
forced into them where not needed
(00:04:50)
because activists end up infecting it.
(00:04:53)
And I think that's the same case with
(00:04:55)
Vtubing. Vtubing has drawn a massive
(00:04:57)
line. I look at certain situation and
(00:04:59)
events that I could bring up where
(00:05:01)
certain VTubers have come out and said
(00:05:03)
certain things very politically that are
(00:05:04)
very toxic like wishing harm on people,
(00:05:06)
cheering on certain deaths and going
(00:05:08)
yeah well I don't like the right and
(00:05:10)
it's like okay so you're cheering on and
(00:05:13)
their audience will be split between
(00:05:14)
left and it's that's where it instantly
(00:05:16)
weaponizes it and then they'll double
(00:05:18)
down. They'll triple down. There was a
(00:05:20)
particular female content creator. I
(00:05:22)
can't remember what her name was, but
(00:05:23)
she had like a pink sort of avatar. She
(00:05:25)
was like a devilish kind of thing. No,
(00:05:27)
I'm not talking about Iron Mouse, but
(00:05:29)
she was very much pro
(00:05:32)
like certain people being like killed.
(00:05:34)
And people called her out on it. And she
(00:05:36)
just doubled down, triple down, attacked
(00:05:38)
her own audience, trashed on men because
(00:05:40)
as soon as men are no longer convenient
(00:05:42)
and they're no longer aligning to her
(00:05:45)
demands, instantly men are all trash.
(00:05:48)
But when they do as they're told and you
(00:05:51)
know a certitude is almost like a slave
(00:05:53)
for them, then they're fine. Oh, you can
(00:05:55)
be in my in my shade and relish in my
(00:05:58)
greatness. Make sure you give me your
(00:06:00)
money though and you lick my boots and
(00:06:02)
you know, you might get a little bit of
(00:06:03)
a shower of attention. This is why I
(00:06:05)
talked about like the whole VTuber space
(00:06:06)
is just an absolute cespit and the
(00:06:09)
politicization is a part of that. You
(00:06:11)
look at the artist community. I've heard
(00:06:13)
so many YouTubers that have tried to
(00:06:15)
commission artists and artists will go,
(00:06:16)
"Well, I'm not going to work with you
(00:06:18)
because of your political leanings or
(00:06:19)
where you come from." And it's like,
(00:06:21)
"Okay, that is their free choice." But
(00:06:23)
then when the VTuber goes public and
(00:06:24)
says, "Hey, they don't want to work with
(00:06:25)
me because of this reason." They then
(00:06:27)
go, "No, no, no, you can't make that
(00:06:29)
public." It's like, okay, why? Like, if
(00:06:31)
a right-leaning artist said, "No, I
(00:06:34)
don't want to work with the left for
(00:06:36)
certain reasons." They would be
(00:06:37)
weaponized. And it's like people getting
(00:06:39)
angry at cancel culture are the same
(00:06:41)
ones that use cancel culture to their
(00:06:43)
own advantage now that it's been
(00:06:45)
weaponized against them. They're now
(00:06:47)
against it. And I think it's also the
(00:06:48)
reality that a lot of people on the far
(00:06:50)
left are now slowly gravitating towards
(00:06:53)
the right because a lot of people that
(00:06:55)
are still left like I would see myself
(00:06:57)
as a center center left person or even
(00:06:59)
somewhat left when it comes to my
(00:07:00)
values. But I've been definitely
(00:07:03)
becoming more rightly as I'm be I would
(00:07:06)
say I'm more anti-government. I don't
(00:07:07)
like big government. And it's very
(00:07:10)
obvious why when you when you live in a
(00:07:11)
country like mine where they're trying
(00:07:13)
to push laws to classify everything as
(00:07:15)
hate speech. And I'm I've got comments
(00:07:17)
of people saying that I should be jailed
(00:07:19)
for just giving an opinion, saying that
(00:07:21)
I am pro- free speech. I've had content
(00:07:23)
creators try to get other larger content
(00:07:25)
creators like Mother's Basement to come
(00:07:27)
after me because I'm pro- free speech
(00:07:29)
and I don't want vandalism and politics
(00:07:31)
forcing my anime. And when I expose
(00:07:33)
political grifters within the anime
(00:07:35)
community, I get attacked. I get put on
(00:07:37)
a a tier list where they want me gone
(00:07:39)
and then mother's basement comes after
(00:07:41)
me and makes up slanderous stuff about
(00:07:43)
thumbnail theft and all the rest because
(00:07:45)
again it's all politicized. It's all
(00:07:47)
weaponized and then men get end up
(00:07:49)
turning into these foot soldiers to
(00:07:51)
attack each other. And this is why I use
(00:07:54)
Vtubing as an example because it goes
(00:07:56)
back on that original men's mental
(00:07:58)
health is that we are being used as foot
(00:08:01)
soldiers to fight other people's
(00:08:02)
battles. It's like these it's a very
(00:08:04)
messy situation. It's not clearcut and
(00:08:06)
dry. We can't just sit there and say,
(00:08:08)
"Oh, well, this is easy. We bubble this,
(00:08:09)
bubble that, bubble this, bubble." No,
(00:08:11)
it's an absolute cesspit of what is
(00:08:14)
going on. And it's not just isolated
(00:08:16)
into one commute. It's everywhere now.
(00:08:18)
It's leeching into everything, which is
(00:08:20)
why so many content creators are being
(00:08:22)
forced into the political conversation
(00:08:24)
now against their will.
(00:08:27)
And I think what leans into it is also
(00:08:29)
just a lot of female VTubers that are
(00:08:32)
trying to build parasocial relationships
(00:08:34)
with men and trying to brainwash them
(00:08:36)
into being like, "Hey, you have to have
(00:08:38)
my political view or else I'm not going
(00:08:40)
to like you." And that's something that
(00:08:42)
I actually do see quite a lot is that
(00:08:44)
they end up a lot of male viewers will
(00:08:47)
gaslight themselves into things that I
(00:08:49)
don't even think they even believe in.
(00:08:51)
And I know this is an example because I
(00:08:52)
had a friend in real life who I will
(00:08:56)
give the name the code name S. It's the
(00:08:59)
first letter of his name, the code S. He
(00:09:03)
used to be or he still is. He's very
(00:09:05)
far-left, very woke. And I remember when
(00:09:07)
Goblin Slayer came out, he was very much
(00:09:09)
against the certain scenes that you
(00:09:10)
know, the R scene in Goblin Slay. He's
(00:09:12)
like, "Oh, well, they should have put
(00:09:14)
something they could have put something
(00:09:15)
worse in there." And I was at I was at a
(00:09:17)
store with him and I looked at him and I
(00:09:18)
said, "What's worse than a happening to
(00:09:20)
a woman?" And he just looked at me and
(00:09:22)
went dead quiet. And I'm like, "I'm
(00:09:23)
waiting. I'm waiting." And he couldn't
(00:09:26)
come up with anything. Like he was pro
(00:09:28)
censorship because female content
(00:09:30)
creators that he was subscribed to that
(00:09:33)
he paid for had certain political
(00:09:35)
opinions. So he would gravitate his
(00:09:37)
opinion to align with theirs because he
(00:09:39)
wanted that little bit of breadcrumb
(00:09:41)
attention. And this is why I think men
(00:09:44)
are be being used as a tool and almost
(00:09:46)
like a currency to be used as a weapon
(00:09:49)
against other content creators. And this
(00:09:51)
is why I think there is this rift being
(00:09:53)
created. And I don't think it's clearcut
(00:09:55)
and dry like which side is winning and
(00:09:57)
which side's winning the the political
(00:09:58)
debate because I think it's extremely
(00:10:00)
messy. That's why I also all the way
(00:10:02)
back I use the analogy or the kind of
(00:10:04)
the example. It's like two big bubbles,
(00:10:08)
right? You got the left bubble and the
(00:10:09)
right bubble and in the center of them
(00:10:12)
is people like Hassan and Asminold and a
(00:10:15)
lot of people gravitating towards them
(00:10:16)
and then you have the odd straggler who
(00:10:18)
is friends with different groups from
(00:10:19)
both but then they get forced into
(00:10:21)
picking a side and I had friends on the
(00:10:23)
left side of things that I used to
(00:10:24)
collaborate with that I used to work
(00:10:26)
with but as soon as you get forced into
(00:10:28)
the political conversation and I had a
(00:10:30)
lot of their communities trying to sneak
(00:10:31)
into my patreon discord server and try
(00:10:34)
to attack my own me my own patreon
(00:10:36)
members and try to force certain
(00:10:37)
political convers conversations and lie
(00:10:38)
to them and gaslight them. And then when
(00:10:41)
I boot them out, you realize be that
(00:10:44)
these people don't have like good
(00:10:46)
intentions. And then when you you stand
(00:10:49)
firm on things like I'm very much
(00:10:51)
against censorship. I'm very much
(00:10:53)
against political vandalism in the anime
(00:10:55)
community. I I'm very much about that.
(00:10:58)
And I've been attacked for being on that
(00:11:00)
stance of things, right? Because it
(00:11:02)
happens. And so then I get pushed more
(00:11:04)
and more and more into one side to one
(00:11:06)
more of that bubble and then certain
(00:11:08)
content creators on that other side
(00:11:10)
won't collaborate with me. And I'm
(00:11:12)
trying to give some examples because I
(00:11:14)
can give some of my own examples in my
(00:11:16)
own experience because people would just
(00:11:18)
say, "Oh, no. You're just making this
(00:11:19)
up. This doesn't happen. That doesn't
(00:11:20)
happen." Well, I can give examples
(00:11:22)
myself.
(00:11:25)
And I think this is why it's becoming
(00:11:27)
more and more and more challenging as
(00:11:28)
content creators to stay out of these
(00:11:31)
discussions because it is a war that is
(00:11:34)
forcing everyone to have to take side
(00:11:36)
and it sucks. It really does. But every
(00:11:40)
government starting to push it. You look
(00:11:41)
at the UK government. It's absolute
(00:11:43)
cesspit. The EU, Canada, America,
(00:11:47)
Australia, Japan, every country has been
(00:11:50)
forced into this political landscape and
(00:11:52)
it's getting very messy and very ugly.
(00:11:54)
There's a whole separate discussion that
(00:11:56)
I was talking about about with men's
(00:11:57)
mental health and the dating scene and
(00:11:59)
how the dating scene has become even
(00:12:00)
worse over the last 8 to 10 years
(00:12:02)
because now you don't just have to
(00:12:04)
contend with the overall pickiness of
(00:12:06)
chicks and the toxicity when it comes to
(00:12:08)
chicks having unrealistic expectations
(00:12:10)
on body standards, financial status,
(00:12:14)
age, be like all these different
(00:12:16)
multitude of factors. Now you've got to
(00:12:18)
add in this whole factor of where's your
(00:12:19)
political leaning? And if you're not a
(00:12:22)
certain political leaning, you're out of
(00:12:23)
the dating market. And it's like, so now
(00:12:26)
you kind of splitting everything almost
(00:12:28)
in half. And that's why I think some men
(00:12:32)
are acting in a certain way that goes
(00:12:34)
against even their own best interest.
(00:12:36)
They're essentially they're putting
(00:12:37)
themselves into that cut corner and
(00:12:39)
sitting there. And that's another tweet
(00:12:41)
that another female VTuber brought up. I
(00:12:43)
just call it banana monkey chick. You'll
(00:12:45)
know who I'm referring to. I mean, I
(00:12:47)
just it's hard to remember a lot of
(00:12:48)
those names, but she brought up a valid
(00:12:51)
point like this whole idea of why are
(00:12:52)
men putting themselves into that corner
(00:12:54)
of the chair? And maybe at some point
(00:12:56)
I'll bring up a lot of those tweets that
(00:12:57)
I've been going through and other
(00:12:58)
YouTubers have talked about and make
(00:13:00)
that a bigger discussion. I might do it
(00:13:02)
on a stream at some point cuz I think it
(00:13:04)
is worth discussing.
