All right. So today we're going to talk
(00:00:02)
about Chiron in astrology. What does he
(00:00:04)
mean both in the natal chart and in
(00:00:05)
transit on that fundamental meaning? So
(00:00:09)
uh Chiron not very often talked about in
(00:00:11)
astrology. Um only a western concept,
(00:00:14)
western um point in the plan in the uh
(00:00:17)
astrological chart that we use
(00:00:19)
considered a planet. U the VEX of course
(00:00:21)
only use everything up to Saturn and
(00:00:23)
Rahu K2 you know the north and south
(00:00:25)
nodes. Uh so it is strictly a western
(00:00:27)
concept. So you can see this both in the
(00:00:29)
western mythology of Chiron which is
(00:00:31)
synchronistically associated with uh
(00:00:34)
Chiron in the sky um and uh you can also
(00:00:37)
see it too by the notable
(00:00:38)
characteristics of Chiron in the solar
(00:00:40)
system. So let's go ahead and start with
(00:00:41)
the notable characteristics. Um a couple
(00:00:44)
things you'll note about Chiron. He was
(00:00:45)
recently discovered 1977. Since then it
(00:00:48)
has become more implemented in western
(00:00:51)
astrology more so as time has gone by.
(00:00:54)
And the characteristics are essentially
(00:00:56)
that of a comet. Um he's considered a
(00:00:58)
comet. He's got that icy uh composition
(00:01:02)
and he's got that really weird
(00:01:03)
elliptical, you know, tilted orbit like
(00:01:05)
Pluto. So definitely a comet and comets,
(00:01:08)
like I was saying in the Pluto video,
(00:01:10)
are messengers. They're from the outer
(00:01:12)
reaches of the solar system here to
(00:01:13)
convey some sort of message. Now, in
(00:01:16)
terms of his qualities, he's ice, right?
(00:01:18)
And ice is of course water. And water,
(00:01:21)
as you know, and we talked about this
(00:01:22)
with the moon and everything is about
(00:01:24)
the water retention in our bodies. It's
(00:01:26)
also about our feelings, our emotions,
(00:01:28)
and the spiritual aspects of self. But
(00:01:31)
notice that the that it's ice, that it's
(00:01:34)
hard. Okay? And this is very important
(00:01:35)
because it means that it's the denser or
(00:01:38)
quote lower or more human aspects of
(00:01:41)
self uh especially in the emotional body
(00:01:43)
and of the physical self that are denser
(00:01:45)
in nature. And what's so interesting
(00:01:47)
about Chiron is that when he's exposed
(00:01:49)
to the sun, the ice turns to uh gas
(00:01:53)
instantly. Doesn't even go to water.
(00:01:55)
just turns from from ice to gas. So this
(00:01:57)
is very synchronistically important
(00:01:59)
because it's it's associating the
(00:02:01)
transformation from the hardened
(00:02:04)
emotional aspects of self into the
(00:02:07)
spiritual higher and lighter aspects of
(00:02:10)
self. So it's that transformation there
(00:02:11)
but specifically relating to water. So
(00:02:14)
the key with this is that it's about
(00:02:16)
spiritual transformation from the lower
(00:02:18)
to the higher states of consciousness um
(00:02:20)
and being with that. again it can be
(00:02:22)
physical which is why um Chiron is
(00:02:25)
associated with physical healing as
(00:02:27)
well. So that's one aspect of it.
(00:02:29)
Another aspect of his characteristics is
(00:02:31)
that he orbits right in between Saturn
(00:02:33)
and Uranus. And uh this is very
(00:02:36)
significant because this is the gap
(00:02:37)
right be before we get to the very
(00:02:39)
physical aspects of the self which is
(00:02:42)
everything up to Saturn to the outer
(00:02:44)
planets which is everything above the
(00:02:46)
physical or more going into more of the
(00:02:48)
spiritual aspects of self which is
(00:02:50)
Uranus, Neptune etc. So again from lower
(00:02:53)
to higher and especially with Saturn you
(00:02:55)
know Saturn is the planet of density.
(00:02:57)
It's a planet of everything physical of
(00:03:00)
you know really uh you know the
(00:03:01)
basically the the material realm and
(00:03:04)
then you've got Uranus right which is
(00:03:06)
about releasing from the from the
(00:03:08)
physical realm and going into higher
(00:03:10)
states of being to liberate ourselves.
(00:03:12)
So it's that gap again from Saturn to
(00:03:14)
Uranus that you can see with that. So
(00:03:17)
it's very much about healing. It's very
(00:03:18)
much about redeeming and accepting that
(00:03:21)
we do have these you know quote human or
(00:03:25)
lower aspects of self hardened physical
(00:03:27)
aspects of self and through that we do
(00:03:29)
find the redemption and the healing and
(00:03:31)
rejuvenation and in many ways liberation
(00:03:34)
that comes from that. So that's seeing
(00:03:36)
it from the the characteristics of
(00:03:38)
Chiron. You can also see it with the
(00:03:40)
mythology too mythologically long story
(00:03:43)
short is that Chiron first of all is a
(00:03:45)
centaur. So again the same duality lower
(00:03:48)
half animal instinctual you know more
(00:03:51)
earthly in nature top half human which
(00:03:54)
is actually more like a god he was a god
(00:03:56)
so top half is that spiritual you know
(00:03:58)
aspect of self. So again that duality
(00:04:01)
with that but the story is essentially
(00:04:03)
that he injured his leg okay and he
(00:04:05)
wasn't able to heal it. It was an
(00:04:07)
unccurable wound. So he spent his whole
(00:04:10)
life trying to heal this wound that he
(00:04:13)
became a healer. he became very good at
(00:04:15)
healing. So unfortunately he wasn't able
(00:04:18)
to heal it but he did gain a gift and
(00:04:20)
that was the gift of healing in which he
(00:04:22)
was able to bestow upon other people. So
(00:04:25)
there is that uh area in the chart which
(00:04:28)
you can see uh really associated with
(00:04:30)
where we feel wounded where we have this
(00:04:33)
unccurable wound so to speak and when we
(00:04:37)
uh you know accept it when we work with
(00:04:40)
it and we realize that it's mainly just
(00:04:43)
a process that we're working on within
(00:04:45)
ourselves again it's more of the
(00:04:46)
transformational energy then um you know
(00:04:50)
we we can become healed in steps but
(00:04:53)
more importantly it's showing us where
(00:04:54)
we have our greatest gift where we
(00:04:57)
actually through that overcompensation
(00:04:59)
are actually very good in that area even
(00:05:01)
though we don't actually believe that we
(00:05:03)
are and it's also the gift that we can
(00:05:05)
give to others and share with others and
(00:05:07)
help others heal in that particular
(00:05:09)
area. So you can see that in both the
(00:05:11)
house placement which would be the area
(00:05:12)
of life. So for example, if it was the
(00:05:14)
third house house of communication, of
(00:05:17)
socializing, of learning, this would be
(00:05:20)
someone who naturally has that uh
(00:05:23)
unccurable wound, that feeling of doubt,
(00:05:26)
insecurity, and woundedness in that
(00:05:27)
area. However, they've compensated for
(00:05:30)
it in life. So they're actually very
(00:05:31)
good there even though they may not see
(00:05:33)
it as such. And then it's that gift that
(00:05:36)
they can actually help others heal and
(00:05:38)
become you know redeemed in terms of
(00:05:40)
their qualities of communication and
(00:05:43)
social and learning. So the house
(00:05:46)
placement very important and then you
(00:05:47)
can also see it with the sign
(00:05:49)
characteristics which would show how
(00:05:51)
it's done in which way does the person
(00:05:53)
heal. So for example, if it was Aries,
(00:05:56)
uh the person in which they heal is by
(00:05:58)
taking action, is by asserting
(00:05:59)
themselves in this sense, maybe
(00:06:00)
asserting their communications,
(00:06:02)
asserting themselves to learn and really
(00:06:04)
did get that proactive self-willed
(00:06:06)
energy. But they'll naturally feel a
(00:06:08)
little bit wounded too in regards to
(00:06:10)
their ability to initiate and their
(00:06:12)
ability and their confidence and things
(00:06:13)
like that to start things and push
(00:06:15)
forward with things. But um again, it's
(00:06:17)
more of an internal a aspect of the
(00:06:20)
self. And when we have that acceptance
(00:06:22)
and uh you know nurturing really with
(00:06:24)
with that watery energy then we do come
(00:06:27)
up to a rejuvenated higher state of
(00:06:29)
consciousness with that. So that's
(00:06:31)
essentially um what uh Chiron represents
(00:06:35)
in the natal chart. So you can um see
(00:06:37)
this for yourself. Very powerful. It's
(00:06:38)
also in transit too where we're
(00:06:40)
temporarily going through that sort of
(00:06:41)
healing energy. Chiron is associated
(00:06:44)
with a fucus uh which we'll talk about
(00:06:46)
next time. You know fucus stands on top
(00:06:48)
of the Scorpio. He's got that leg on the
(00:06:51)
scorpion again associating with injury
(00:06:53)
to the leg. Um and also Sagittarius too
(00:06:55)
associated there uh because you know
(00:06:57)
Sagittarius is also a centaur. So we'll
(00:07:00)
talk more on that when we get to the uh
(00:07:02)
constellations. But um hopefully this
(00:07:04)
helps helps for now and I'll see you
(00:07:06)
guys all next time. Take care.
