One is a black woman, one is a white
(00:00:02)
man. Historically, who gets that job?
(00:00:03)
>> I have no idea.
(00:00:04)
>> Oh, stop. Historically, who? Come on.
(00:00:08)
Historically.
(00:00:08)
>> Okay. [music] Let's say historically.
(00:00:10)
Historically, white men. Who gets it
(00:00:12)
today? Who gets it today?
(00:00:13)
>> If you look at the discrimination
(00:00:15)
[music] on the basis of race or sex is
(00:00:17)
bad. Can we all say yes?
(00:00:18)
>> Mhm.
(00:00:19)
>> Yeah. Can you say yes to that?
(00:00:21)
But but
(00:00:22)
>> you don't Well, the reason I asked that
(00:00:24)
question,
(00:00:24)
>> but I mean because there's an entire
(00:00:26)
community that feels discriminated
(00:00:27)
against by the president. The Somali
(00:00:29)
community feels discriminated against by
(00:00:31)
the president. He calls them garbage.
(00:00:33)
>> White Joe Biden called us garbage. White
(00:00:36)
American men are being discriminated on
(00:00:39)
the basis of their race and gender.
(00:00:40)
[music] And I would have to stop
(00:00:42)
pretending like that is the, you know,
(00:00:43)
oh well, if you know, blacks have a
(00:00:45)
slightly higher unemployment rate or,
(00:00:46)
you know, slightly lower, that's okay.
(00:00:48)
>> No, it's double. It's not slightly. My
(00:00:49)
point is it doesn't matter what it
(00:00:51)
doesn't matter what it is
(00:00:52)
>> and I won't answer your question
(00:00:56)
answer the question reality is this
(00:00:58)
conversation [music] is disingenuous
(00:01:00)
it's not real and it's not honest and
(00:01:01)
you guys aren't being honest about the
(00:01:03)
structure of how this country works
(00:01:04)
>> by claiming that DEI isn't just quote
(00:01:06)
lame diversity seminars or racial
(00:01:08)
slogans [music] it was a deliberate
(00:01:10)
program of discrimination primarily he
(00:01:13)
said against white [music] men
(00:01:15)
>> can't be reality but it's not but it
(00:01:17)
should be because of DEI it's Not
(00:01:19)
because of
(00:01:20)
>> because of DEI.
(00:01:22)
>> Hello everybody. Guys, we got Humpty
(00:01:24)
Dumpty falling off the wall and onto Sid
(00:01:27)
the Sloth. Let's get into this segment
(00:01:28)
and we'll talk about it.
(00:01:29)
>> Trump administration is escalating its
(00:01:31)
war on DEI.
(00:01:34)
Are you a white male who's experienced
(00:01:36)
discrimination at work based on your
(00:01:38)
race or sex? You may have a claim to
(00:01:40)
recover money under federal civil rights
(00:01:42)
laws. The EOC is committed to
(00:01:44)
identifying, attacking, and eliminating
(00:01:47)
all forms of race and sex
(00:01:48)
discrimination, including against white
(00:01:50)
male applicants and employees.
(00:01:54)
That was the chair of the US Equal
(00:01:56)
Employment Opportunity Commission. And
(00:01:58)
JD Vance is co-signing that call by
(00:02:00)
reposting her message, but took many
(00:02:03)
steps further by claiming the DEI isn't
(00:02:05)
just quote lame diversity seminars or
(00:02:07)
racial slogans. It was a deliberate
(00:02:10)
program of discrimination primarily, he
(00:02:12)
said, against white men. Carrie, I'm
(00:02:15)
going to start with you. Um, when you
(00:02:17)
when you see this and you and you look
(00:02:19)
at the statistics and you look at the
(00:02:20)
numbers, how do you square these things?
(00:02:23)
>> You know, I think this has been a
(00:02:24)
movement for for some time. I think back
(00:02:26)
uh to probably 20
(00:02:29)
probably forever, but I'm going to say
(00:02:31)
probably 2013, 2014. And I was working
(00:02:33)
with someone who said to me, it was a
(00:02:35)
male colleague of mine, white male
(00:02:36)
colleague of mine, and he was feeling
(00:02:38)
very uncomfortable with the the state of
(00:02:40)
the world. He was suggesting that he
(00:02:42)
wasn't able to get anything done because
(00:02:45)
he was a white male and the world was
(00:02:47)
essentially against him. And everything
(00:02:48)
made it seem like guess what? We have to
(00:02:50)
hire minorities. We have to hire women.
(00:02:53)
We have to hire marginalized people. And
(00:02:55)
in his mind, everything was so
(00:02:56)
politically correct. It was the HR of it
(00:02:58)
all, the human resources of it all. And
(00:03:00)
he was really upset about this. and I
(00:03:02)
understood where he was coming from but
(00:03:04)
I couldn't relate because I lived in a
(00:03:06)
world and I'm speaking from my own
(00:03:07)
experiences where it felt like well
(00:03:10)
about time. So what this is is in my
(00:03:12)
opinion is purely subjective. But in a
(00:03:15)
world that we live in where we are
(00:03:17)
saying this country and you talked about
(00:03:19)
our founding fathers earlier in air
(00:03:21)
quotes. This country has always made it
(00:03:24)
easier in my opinion from my experiences
(00:03:27)
to celebrate white men and they've
(00:03:29)
always been the bosses and they've
(00:03:30)
always from the top. You look at the the
(00:03:32)
people who have the money, the
(00:03:33)
billionaires, you look at a list, they
(00:03:34)
don't look like me or you. They look
(00:03:36)
like white men. And so for this to be an
(00:03:39)
issue, a movement, it is as if these
(00:03:41)
white men are being marginalized feels
(00:03:43)
very disingenuous. And the fact that JD
(00:03:45)
Vance is amplifying it um is also
(00:03:48)
disingenuous in my opinion.
(00:03:49)
>> Two two things can be true.
(00:03:51)
>> You know what they can be true? They can
(00:03:54)
three things three things can be true.
(00:03:56)
>> You are you we can look back at the
(00:03:58)
history of different institutions,
(00:04:00)
private sector, public sector, and point
(00:04:02)
and say this was overwhelmingly
(00:04:04)
dominated by white men, right? that the
(00:04:06)
statistics don't lie, but the statistics
(00:04:08)
that came out recently about some hiring
(00:04:10)
practices at some major institutions,
(00:04:12)
specifically media, that article in
(00:04:14)
Compact Magazine that came out this week
(00:04:16)
really does highlight some shocking
(00:04:18)
numbers. If a, you know, a news agency
(00:04:21)
is is touting their diversity and
(00:04:23)
touting the fact that they're hiring,
(00:04:25)
say, people of color, and 80% of the
(00:04:27)
people are people of color, that is
(00:04:29)
discriminatory in the same way that it
(00:04:32)
was discriminatory
(00:04:32)
>> to hire only white men,
(00:04:34)
>> to hire only white men. And I think
(00:04:35)
those things could be true. And to
(00:04:37)
acknowledge that that this is actually
(00:04:39)
happening, I think is an important step
(00:04:41)
because it does show perhaps that we've
(00:04:43)
moved somewhat behind uh beyond some
(00:04:46)
sort of post-racial view of how things
(00:04:48)
should be.
(00:04:49)
>> No, let me just let me just throw in a
(00:04:50)
couple statistics because I because I
(00:04:51)
went to look
(00:04:53)
>> like white people out there, hear me and
(00:04:55)
hear me well. And this is for everyone.
(00:04:58)
Unemployment rate is double for black
(00:05:00)
people than it is for white people.
(00:05:02)
Double. We have to stop looking to the
(00:05:04)
left and to the right as to who to
(00:05:06)
blame. Look up. It's not a bird. It's
(00:05:08)
not a plane. It's not Superman. It's the
(00:05:11)
rich people again.
(00:05:14)
While you're complaining about DI and
(00:05:16)
everything is woke and an attack on
(00:05:18)
white people, these rich people are
(00:05:20)
laughing at you. They're laughing at all
(00:05:22)
of us. The only way for our lives to get
(00:05:25)
better is to look at those who are in
(00:05:27)
fact making it more difficult for you.
(00:05:29)
The ones with all the health. How can
(00:05:31)
you possibly guys just look at this very
(00:05:34)
simply? How can you possibly think that
(00:05:37)
it's the poorest amongst you that are
(00:05:40)
taking resources away from you? You got
(00:05:42)
to be smarter than that. They're using
(00:05:44)
bigotry to divide you. Divide all of us
(00:05:47)
from our wallets. And you have to see
(00:05:49)
that. Sid the sloth over there and
(00:05:51)
Humpty Dumpty. These people, they're
(00:05:53)
mercenaries for the wealthy. These are
(00:05:55)
the people you need to be worrying
(00:05:56)
about.
(00:05:58)
The people stepping on you are your
(00:06:00)
fellow wealthy white people and those
(00:06:04)
who help them. These Republican pundits
(00:06:08)
that tell you pull yourself up by the
(00:06:10)
bootstrap. What did Ben Shapiro little
(00:06:11)
squeaker say the other day? Or not the
(00:06:13)
other day, maybe a month or so ago, if
(00:06:15)
you can't afford where you live, move.
(00:06:17)
Then just move then. Like listen guys,
(00:06:20)
they've already taken everything from
(00:06:22)
black and brown people. Literally no
(00:06:24)
more wealth to take from us.
(00:06:27)
I mean, I'm going to show images here,
(00:06:29)
and I know we're all the way at the
(00:06:32)
bottom.
(00:06:34)
The rich has only one more source of
(00:06:35)
energy, one more source of food, and
(00:06:37)
it's their own fellow white people, the
(00:06:39)
middle and lower income white people,
(00:06:41)
and they're coming for you.
(00:06:43)
This up, cuz I was actually curious to
(00:06:45)
see what happened because there was a
(00:06:47)
very large jump in black women's
(00:06:49)
unemployment at 7%, white men's
(00:06:51)
unemployment is about 3%. Black men's
(00:06:54)
unemployment is at 7.5%. So when you
(00:06:57)
when you look at all of this and you
(00:06:58)
start talking about discrimination, yes,
(00:07:00)
there are some examples. I think that
(00:07:01)
one of which you just pointed out. Um
(00:07:03)
but you can't cherrypick when you look
(00:07:05)
overarching at what's happening actually
(00:07:07)
in the world uh the world of work. Um
(00:07:11)
Paul, how how do you how do you see
(00:07:13)
this? What do you think this is this is
(00:07:14)
about? Is this about messaging or what
(00:07:17)
what is happening?
(00:07:18)
>> I think it's sometimes we fall into all
(00:07:20)
or nothing. Did DEI go too far at times?
(00:07:22)
Probably. Sometimes I think what happens
(00:07:24)
especially with political darkness is
(00:07:25)
the pendulum goes all the way over here.
(00:07:27)
>> Sure. Over correct.
(00:07:28)
>> You just got to get back in the middle.
(00:07:29)
>> Sure.
(00:07:29)
>> Just get it in the middle. Do it. If did
(00:07:32)
some white men get screwed over because
(00:07:34)
of DEI? Probably. Did everybody to the
(00:07:36)
point where you do that? Was like a
(00:07:38)
Shyer personal injury law firm
(00:07:40)
commercial, wasn't it? Your steering
(00:07:42)
wheel may be a ticking time bomb.
(00:07:44)
>> And if you feel like you've been treated
(00:07:46)
for poorly,
(00:07:46)
>> right? Exactly. So, this isn't
(00:07:48)
correcting a a systemic inequity. It's
(00:07:52)
treating discrimination as symmetrical
(00:07:54)
and it's not because what you're doing
(00:07:56)
is you're ignoring the imbalance of
(00:07:58)
power that led to the civil rights
(00:08:00)
legislation. And so do I think that some
(00:08:03)
white white men have unfairly been
(00:08:04)
treated as a result of DEI. Yeah. Life's
(00:08:07)
kind of sloppy that way. It's not
(00:08:09)
perfect, but I don't think you go so far
(00:08:11)
as to tell everybody to start suing the
(00:08:13)
government and start suing your work
(00:08:15)
somewhere in the middle. Wait, why?
(00:08:17)
Wait, wait, hold up. Why shouldn't a
(00:08:18)
white person who has been discriminated,
(00:08:20)
which you just admitted is real and has
(00:08:22)
happened, why wouldn't a white person
(00:08:24)
who has been discriminated and can prove
(00:08:26)
a case or at least can bring a case, why
(00:08:28)
wouldn't they be able to sue for that?
(00:08:29)
>> Because I think the federal government
(00:08:30)
in that kind of announcement is
(00:08:32)
emboldening people that maybe don't have
(00:08:34)
a claim but feel the government's
(00:08:36)
telling me to do it. I'm going to go do
(00:08:37)
it.
(00:08:37)
>> That's why.
(00:08:38)
>> So, so
(00:08:39)
>> maybe the bigger question is why is the
(00:08:40)
vice president putting this out there
(00:08:43)
telling people to sue? That's the
(00:08:44)
question
(00:08:45)
>> because
(00:08:46)
>> Oh, come on. It's the same reason why he
(00:08:48)
wouldn't condemn Nick Fuentes and the
(00:08:50)
people, the Young Republicans
(00:08:51)
organization, calling people watermelon
(00:08:54)
people and saying they want to put their
(00:08:56)
opponents in gas chambers. That's why we
(00:08:58)
all know why Vance is doing that. JD
(00:09:00)
Vance is doing that.
(00:09:01)
>> Discrimination is bad no matter who it
(00:09:03)
is against. And do we all agree that
(00:09:05)
discrimination on the basis of race or
(00:09:07)
sex is bad? Can we all say yes?
(00:09:09)
>> Yeah.
(00:09:10)
>> Can you say yes to that?
(00:09:12)
But but
(00:09:13)
>> you don't Well, the reason I asked that
(00:09:15)
question because there's a big question
(00:09:16)
here. There is an entire community that
(00:09:18)
feels discriminated against by the
(00:09:20)
president. The Somali community feels
(00:09:22)
discriminated against by the president.
(00:09:24)
He calls them garbage.
(00:09:25)
>> White Joe Biden called us garbage. White
(00:09:28)
American men are being discriminated on
(00:09:31)
the basis of their race and gender. And
(00:09:32)
I would feel awful.
(00:09:34)
>> What numbers do you have that this is a
(00:09:36)
systemic issue? This is a big problem.
(00:09:37)
>> I don't care if it was a one-off issue.
(00:09:39)
nobody should be discriminated against
(00:09:41)
because of their race or their sex.
(00:09:43)
Second of all, the compact article you
(00:09:44)
mentioned, he does a very detailed job
(00:09:46)
building upon years of other evidence.
(00:09:49)
The other thing we have to discuss here,
(00:09:51)
I am a female. I would feel awful if I
(00:09:54)
got a role over a black male just
(00:09:56)
because I'm a female because I hit a
(00:09:58)
different, you know, quota or target. It
(00:10:00)
should always be based on meritocracy,
(00:10:02)
on competency. I want whoever is most
(00:10:04)
qualified for the job and disparate
(00:10:07)
incomes or or outcomes disparate
(00:10:09)
outcomes is not indicative that it was
(00:10:11)
the result of racism. So we have to stop
(00:10:14)
pretending like that is the you know oh
(00:10:16)
well if you know blacks have a slightly
(00:10:17)
higher unemployment rate or you know
(00:10:18)
slightly lower that's okay
(00:10:20)
>> it's double it's not slightly
(00:10:21)
>> my point is it doesn't matter what it
(00:10:23)
doesn't matter what it is
(00:10:24)
>> let's push pause on this and
(00:10:26)
>> the conversation continues but this is
(00:10:28)
what I mean people like the sloav seek
(00:10:30)
to divide you when um black and brown
(00:10:34)
people try to do stuff about it you guys
(00:10:35)
call it woke and DEI and it's anti-white
(00:10:38)
like guys of course you're going to have
(00:10:40)
anecdotal experiences that DI went too
(00:10:42)
far I'm sure about that. But that's why
(00:10:43)
we have data. Unemployment rate is
(00:10:46)
double for what it is for black people.
(00:10:48)
Black people and Hispanics have six time
(00:10:51)
six to 10 times depending on the
(00:10:52)
timeline
(00:10:54)
less wealth. Six to 10 times less
(00:10:56)
wealth. And guys, like
(00:10:59)
I know why people are struggling. I'm
(00:11:01)
going to get to that in a second. I know
(00:11:02)
why people are struggling. Poppy feels
(00:11:04)
you, trust me. But s the sloth there,
(00:11:06)
they seek to divide you from the people
(00:11:09)
you actually share the struggle with.
(00:11:11)
And that is black and brown people.
(00:11:13)
We've been here for a while. Let me tell
(00:11:15)
you, this is why Republicans feed you
(00:11:18)
the kind of racist red meat daily. This
(00:11:20)
is why white people, I I can understand
(00:11:23)
a lot of you are struggling without a
(00:11:25)
doubt. Those who aren't are just barely
(00:11:28)
getting by, barely putting saving um
(00:11:30)
money into savings or retirement. I
(00:11:32)
understand it. But come on, it's just
(00:11:35)
simple math. It couldn't possibly be the
(00:11:38)
people with six times less the wealth
(00:11:40)
than you. A fraction on average or
(00:11:43)
median, whatever you do. And I'm I'm
(00:11:45)
gonna keep showing these images. It's
(00:11:47)
the people with 1,000 times the wealth
(00:11:50)
than you. Doesn't that make more sense?
(00:11:52)
I promise you, if they somehow removed
(00:11:54)
every black and brown person from this
(00:11:56)
country, you will still struggle
(00:12:00)
because we aren't the ones with any
(00:12:01)
wealth. It sucks. Trust me. I know. I
(00:12:05)
mean, just look at this image. I'm going
(00:12:06)
to make sure to put this one for sure.
(00:12:08)
This is where your your house with a
(00:12:10)
white picket fence is. This is where it
(00:12:12)
is. The rich took it to buy their eighth
(00:12:15)
home.
(00:12:17)
Poppies and mommies out there, we got to
(00:12:18)
be smarter than that. We need to come
(00:12:20)
together against a common enemy. I know
(00:12:23)
I'm mean to you guys. I know I'm mean to
(00:12:24)
you Republicans. But your issue is not
(00:12:27)
with us black and brown people. There's
(00:12:29)
nothing left to take from us.
(00:12:34)
But let's get to the second part of
(00:12:36)
this.
(00:12:36)
>> Why this is even a discussion and why we
(00:12:38)
feel like JD Vance feels like he has to
(00:12:40)
overcorrect what was wrong was because
(00:12:42)
there was a problem in this country for
(00:12:44)
many years. That's why DI
(00:12:46)
>> discriminating against other people as a
(00:12:47)
remedial
(00:12:49)
reason why we had it. It was because
(00:12:51)
this was a problem in the country as you
(00:12:53)
so eloquently pointed out earlier is
(00:12:55)
that yes there is a bit of
(00:12:56)
overcorrection. People do overcorrect
(00:12:58)
but this was a problem in our country.
(00:13:00)
It had to be addressed. That's why these
(00:13:01)
policies were put in place. This is not
(00:13:03)
something that we're pulling out of the
(00:13:04)
air and saying discriminate against
(00:13:06)
white people, discriminate against white
(00:13:07)
men.
(00:13:08)
>> So, you don't want any discrimination
(00:13:09)
against white men. There are people who
(00:13:11)
are in roles who are in the roles
(00:13:13)
because they happen to check a few extra
(00:13:15)
quota boxes even though they may not
(00:13:16)
have been the most competent person. And
(00:13:18)
what I'm sitting here saying that some
(00:13:20)
people at this table can answer. Do we
(00:13:21)
all agree that no one black, white,
(00:13:23)
Chinese, whatever you are, should be
(00:13:25)
discriminated against because of your
(00:13:26)
gender or
(00:13:27)
>> we agree with that. which what you're
(00:13:29)
advocating is what you're advocating is
(00:13:31)
a zero sum measure of discrimination by
(00:13:34)
discriminating the court system.
(00:13:36)
>> You ask me a question. I have a question
(00:13:37)
for you.
(00:13:37)
>> Sure. Go ahead.
(00:13:38)
>> If we all acknowledge that DEI policies
(00:13:40)
exist which give preferential treatment
(00:13:42)
to people of color, women,
(00:13:44)
>> what what actually does like how does it
(00:13:47)
work? Tell me how what do they do to get
(00:13:50)
the numbers up in institutions if not
(00:13:53)
discriminate against people from one
(00:13:55)
race or gender versus
(00:13:56)
>> Well, it's not how you want to couch it.
(00:13:57)
You can use the word you can use the
(00:13:59)
word discriminate or you could use the
(00:14:01)
word that there there's an inherent
(00:14:03)
entrenched sort of system that is not
(00:14:05)
working for the minority trying to hang
(00:14:07)
on a second I'm answering your question
(00:14:09)
it's trying to be corrected
(00:14:11)
Hang on a second no it's not if you
(00:14:14)
that's what this is the beauty of this
(00:14:15)
conversation is right you can call it
(00:14:16)
discrimination somebody else could call
(00:14:18)
it something else the court's going to
(00:14:19)
figure out so what so so the point is
(00:14:22)
that when you use this as like a blind
(00:14:25)
scale instead of a corrective measure to
(00:14:27)
correct the fact that there's been
(00:14:29)
systemic racism or misogyny or whatever
(00:14:32)
you want to call it and if has it gone
(00:14:34)
too far
(00:14:36)
hang it gone too far DEI has gone too
(00:14:39)
far at times as a white male I'll say
(00:14:40)
that
(00:14:41)
>> the question what
(00:14:42)
>> you see they're not speaking about this
(00:14:45)
in my mind correctly
(00:14:47)
um Joel there and Sid the Slav there
(00:14:50)
these people are so simple-minded
(00:14:52)
they're making it seem like well if
(00:14:54)
you're trying to help black people you
(00:14:56)
must be hurting white people to do so.
(00:14:58)
This is the problem with that argument
(00:14:59)
is that black people have the
(00:15:01)
unemployment rate that is double double
(00:15:04)
the percentage rate that it is for white
(00:15:06)
people. So, first off, that just doesn't
(00:15:07)
make sense. And hey, Mini Mega, you ever
(00:15:10)
think and um Humpty Dumpty over there,
(00:15:14)
you ever think that possibly that white
(00:15:15)
people just possibly white people were
(00:15:18)
overly represented in the job market? Do
(00:15:21)
you think that's the issue? Could that
(00:15:23)
possibly be be the issue? Hence, the
(00:15:25)
unemployment rate is half of what it is
(00:15:28)
for a black person. I mean, I think they
(00:15:30)
know better. They just know what what
(00:15:32)
they have fed their these conservatives
(00:15:34)
minds for decades and they just keep
(00:15:35)
doing it. This is why nothing gets ever
(00:15:37)
solved.
(00:15:39)
And like again, it's not unemployment
(00:15:41)
rate is fine for white people. That's
(00:15:43)
not the issue. It's the income level.
(00:15:45)
These people are deterring away from the
(00:15:46)
conversation. It's about rich. It's
(00:15:48)
about the wealthy. You're not getting
(00:15:50)
enough. You're not getting enough money
(00:15:52)
to get by.
(00:15:54)
And and again, these
(00:15:57)
this is why nothing gets solved because
(00:15:59)
then on the other side of their mouth,
(00:16:00)
they talk about how crime and black and
(00:16:02)
brown neighborhoods are so bad and
(00:16:04)
they're dangerous and inherently bad
(00:16:06)
people and all this crime level. Crime,
(00:16:07)
crime. But then when anyone tries to do
(00:16:09)
something about it, these idiots yell
(00:16:11)
and cry DI. It's woke. It's anti-white.
(00:16:13)
And now they're literally trying to do
(00:16:14)
the same thing for white people. But no,
(00:16:16)
no woke, no DI, nothing there. Like,
(00:16:18)
come on. Again, look up. It's the
(00:16:22)
wealthy. and Citiz and Humpty Dumpty are
(00:16:26)
doing the rich man's work.
(00:16:29)
>> What corrective measure, your words,
(00:16:31)
exists that doesn't give preferential
(00:16:33)
treatment over specific races and
(00:16:35)
genders?
(00:16:36)
>> I think one of the one way to ask this
(00:16:38)
question, if you have two people who are
(00:16:39)
have the exact same credentials, which
(00:16:41)
is a little odd, but exactly the same
(00:16:43)
credentials, one is black, one is a
(00:16:45)
black woman, one is a white man,
(00:16:46)
historically who gets that job?
(00:16:48)
>> I have no idea.
(00:16:49)
>> Oh, stop.
(00:16:50)
>> Historically, who? Come on.
(00:16:52)
Historically, okay, let's say
(00:16:54)
historically historically white men, who
(00:16:56)
gets it today?
(00:16:57)
>> Who gets it today?
(00:16:58)
>> If you look at the It's still
(00:17:00)
>> n according to the Atlantic, the San
(00:17:02)
Diego Tribune, NPR, all the people that
(00:17:04)
were cited by Compact Mag as doing this.
(00:17:07)
You don't want to say it, but it's true.
(00:17:08)
The DEI, you go to the corporate
(00:17:10)
website, we're we can't pretend this
(00:17:13)
doesn't happen. you go to a corporate
(00:17:14)
website and they announce how many
(00:17:16)
people they've hired uh you know people
(00:17:18)
of color and women and then we're going
(00:17:20)
to pretend like it doesn't exist in the
(00:17:22)
opposite way you were framing it as
(00:17:24)
happening in the
(00:17:25)
>> this isn't a fair conversation I don't
(00:17:26)
think this is a fair conversation Sarah
(00:17:28)
and I'll say this
(00:17:29)
>> if we're going to sit at this table and
(00:17:31)
have an honest conversation about what
(00:17:32)
the history of this country is and how
(00:17:34)
in fact they employ people and who runs
(00:17:36)
the power structure we will say that
(00:17:37)
it's a white man and for you to sit here
(00:17:39)
and say well how do you do the
(00:17:40)
corrective measures and everything he
(00:17:42)
says and you're challenging him and
(00:17:43)
you're saying we won't all agree. We
(00:17:44)
can't all agree. The reason why I didn't
(00:17:45)
answer your question was because it was
(00:17:46)
a silly question.
(00:17:47)
>> Wait, you don't think black people
(00:17:48)
shouldn't be discriminated against?
(00:17:49)
>> I was saying the reason why I didn't
(00:17:51)
answer your question because it was a
(00:17:52)
silly question because we know how this
(00:17:54)
country has been run and we know who has
(00:17:55)
the power structure. We know who has the
(00:17:57)
money. And I won't answer your question.
(00:18:00)
She never said she answered the
(00:18:01)
question. The reality is this
(00:18:03)
conversation is disingenuous. It's not
(00:18:05)
real and it's not honest. And you guys
(00:18:07)
aren't being honest about the structure
(00:18:08)
of how this country works and about what
(00:18:10)
has happened with people who are
(00:18:11)
minorities, with black people, with
(00:18:12)
white people, with Asian people. You can
(00:18:14)
say whatever you want to. You can word
(00:18:16)
salad this entire conversation. No
(00:18:17)
words. All we're simply saying is DEI
(00:18:20)
was put in place because it was a reason
(00:18:23)
to correct what was wrong. No words
(00:18:25)
agree that meritocracy is important.
(00:18:27)
People who are most qualified should get
(00:18:28)
the job.
(00:18:29)
>> That doesn't reality at all.
(00:18:31)
>> That should be reality. But it's not.
(00:18:34)
But it should be because of DI. It's not
(00:18:36)
because of DI.
(00:18:37)
>> Because of DI. It's not. But let let's
(00:18:40)
move on. Next.
(00:18:41)
>> She lives in a world of unicorn and
(00:18:43)
rainbows. It should be like that. This
(00:18:44)
is what we've been saying on this side
(00:18:46)
that we just want a fair shake. Guys, we
(00:18:49)
have pride too. Black and brown people.
(00:18:50)
We have pride too. You think we want to
(00:18:52)
be given things that we don't deserve?
(00:18:54)
Like we're not like that. And like guys,
(00:18:56)
what in the world is happening? Where's
(00:18:58)
this epidemic of black people getting
(00:19:00)
jobs? Again, the unemployment rate is
(00:19:02)
double. This just doesn't make sense.
(00:19:04)
And look at the wealth disparity, guys.
(00:19:08)
I mean, like, how can you how can anyone
(00:19:11)
believe this stuff is just insane to me.
(00:19:12)
And also, poor white people out there,
(00:19:15)
DEI is meant to help you, too. It's
(00:19:17)
meant to give a fair shot to everyone,
(00:19:20)
not just people of color. It's meant to
(00:19:22)
give shot a shot to women
(00:19:25)
and poor white people out there, please.
(00:19:27)
I hope you know this. Please, rich white
(00:19:29)
people look down on you.
(00:19:31)
They don't see you as one of them. I can
(00:19:33)
promise you this.
(00:19:35)
You get you get looked past on jobs as
(00:19:38)
well. And when you come from the
(00:19:39)
backwoods of Louisiana compared to the
(00:19:42)
uh big city white boy Johnny,
(00:19:46)
DI is meant to help your ass too.
(00:19:50)
Like I've I've seen it with my own eyes.
(00:19:52)
I've seen white people with thick
(00:19:55)
southern accent get treated as if they
(00:19:57)
were dumber or slower by other white
(00:19:59)
people who are from, you know, a big
(00:20:02)
city somewhere in the country or have
(00:20:04)
some level of wealth. I've seen this.
(00:20:07)
And guys, I think the average white
(00:20:08)
person is a decent person just like all
(00:20:10)
of us, trying to get by, not trying to
(00:20:12)
harm anyone, don't want to um step on
(00:20:16)
anyone's shoulders or whatever, but want
(00:20:18)
to live a respectable, decent life, but
(00:20:21)
they're getting fed garbage by so many
(00:20:22)
of these Republican pundits. It's
(00:20:24)
dangerous and it won't solve anything
(00:20:26)
because we don't have anything to give
(00:20:28)
you. Black and brown people are not your
(00:20:29)
issue. The immigrants crossing the
(00:20:31)
border, they're not your issue. You
(00:20:32)
don't want the jobs they're doing
(00:20:33)
anyways. You're getting screwed by the
(00:20:36)
wealthy. They're taking away your health
(00:20:38)
care now. You think black and brown
(00:20:39)
people are taking away your healthare?
(00:20:41)
Come on, papa. Come on, mama.
(00:20:45)
But I'm going to leave it there, guys.
(00:20:47)
These conversations can be so
(00:20:48)
exhausting. But let me know what you
(00:20:50)
think about all this in the comments.

the next one.
