(00:00:00)
all right so today we're going to talk
(00:00:02)
about Saturn in astrology both in the
(00:00:04)
natal chart and in transit what does he
(00:00:06)
mean on that fundamental level so
(00:00:08)
yesterday we talked about Jupiter which
(00:00:10)
is about the polarity of Saturn which is
(00:00:12)
about expansion it's about seeing what's
(00:00:15)
possible having that optimistic and wise
(00:00:17)
perspective on life now Saturn
(00:00:20)
essentially is still very much about
(00:00:22)
that overarching perspective so both
(00:00:24)
planets are about that top down but the
(00:00:27)
difference between Jupiter and Saturn is
(00:00:29)
is where Jupiter wants to expand Saturn
(00:00:32)
energy and this is an aspect of
(00:00:34)
ourselves wants to contract wants to
(00:00:37)
create wants to restrain in order to
(00:00:39)
have definition one way I like to think
(00:00:42)
of Jupiter and Saturn in astrology is
(00:00:44)
that you know if you think of sacred
(00:00:46)
geometry you've got Jupiter which
(00:00:49)
represents the color right it's just the
(00:00:51)
light kind of going off into every
(00:00:53)
direction then you've got Saturn who is
(00:00:56)
the definition in there maybe the lack
(00:00:58)
of light or where the light kind of took
(00:01:00)
a turn or change to Hue or something
(00:01:02)
like that and that gives it the
(00:01:03)
definition cuz you know light by itself
(00:01:06)
you know it's just the whole color
(00:01:08)
spectrum but once you have the
(00:01:10)
definition and the curvature and the
(00:01:12)
different designs then you actually have
(00:01:14)
something that you might consider art or
(00:01:16)
a creation or sacred geometry for
(00:01:18)
example so very important when you
(00:01:21)
combine these two elements and like I
(00:01:23)
said with Jupiter they're outer planet
(00:01:25)
so they have a lot to do with more of
(00:01:26)
the unconscious deeper aspects of self
(00:01:29)
not so much in personality again
(00:01:32)
depending on the house placement if it's
(00:01:34)
in house definitely personality but as
(00:01:37)
an energy in and of itself it's much
(00:01:38)
more about how we create our experiences
(00:01:41)
you know on a bigger picture especially
(00:01:43)
from the top down perspective so that's
(00:01:46)
pretty much the polarity expansion with
(00:01:48)
Jupiter contraction with Saturn and you
(00:01:50)
can get some more clues about what
(00:01:52)
Saturn represents by looking at them in
(00:01:54)
the sky so first things first is he's
(00:01:58)
the dimmest uh star or the dimmest
(00:02:00)
Planet rather that we can see with the
(00:02:02)
naked eye but he's also the last planet
(00:02:05)
we can see with the naked eye so there's
(00:02:06)
this new Gap we're about to go into from
(00:02:09)
Saturn to the trans Saturn planets you
(00:02:11)
know Uranus and Neptune and so forth so
(00:02:14)
one thing about Saturn he's kind of the
(00:02:16)
end of everything that is visible right
(00:02:20)
so he represents kind of the domain or
(00:02:22)
the end of everything physical
(00:02:24)
everything real everything that you can
(00:02:26)
actually visualize so that's essentially
(00:02:29)
a good way of looking at Saturn is he's
(00:02:31)
kind of the master of the uh Physical
(00:02:35)
Realm so it's about where we can create
(00:02:38)
you know physicality where we can have a
(00:02:41)
um slow and steady and dense and
(00:02:44)
disciplined approach in order to make
(00:02:46)
things into a reality because again like
(00:02:49)
Jupiter for example if it's just
(00:02:50)
inspiration if it's just motivation well
(00:02:53)
there's nothing really there until you
(00:02:55)
actually turn it into something
(00:02:57)
practical and real and that's one
(00:02:59)
element of sad
(00:03:01)
the other element too is Saturn's
(00:03:02)
gorgeous Rings you know they're made of
(00:03:04)
ice and stone you know mostly ice though
(00:03:07)
so this is very cold you know and this
(00:03:09)
is a big quality about Saturn is that
(00:03:12)
Saturn you Saturn's approach and our
(00:03:14)
approach in the natal chart is in that
(00:03:17)
cold and sort of distant way you know
(00:03:19)
kind of emotionally distant just very
(00:03:22)
cold and calculating so the reason for
(00:03:24)
that is because we're able to actually
(00:03:27)
see things for how they are and it's
(00:03:30)
just
(00:03:31)
reality you know there's no emotional
(00:03:33)
Hue to it it just is what it is and so
(00:03:36)
we see it we work with it it's the area
(00:03:38)
of our life where we can really have
(00:03:40)
that Stern approach that's sometimes
(00:03:42)
needed in order to create things that
(00:03:44)
are long lasting in other words where we
(00:03:46)
have uh not necessarily short-term gains
(00:03:49)
and short-term Pleasures but long-term
(00:03:51)
gains and long-term Pleasures right so
(00:03:54)
we have that disciplined energy there
(00:03:57)
and the Rings are essentially creation
(00:03:59)
you know it takes very long time to
(00:04:01)
create those rings and they're beautiful
(00:04:03)
and it's a reminder that through that
(00:04:05)
hard work and discipline you know we can
(00:04:08)
create uh beautiful things in life but
(00:04:10)
they do take time and they do take hard
(00:04:13)
work so these are some of the things
(00:04:15)
that you can gain from Saturn and
(00:04:17)
essentially he's showing us where in our
(00:04:19)
chart we're willing to work hard where
(00:04:21)
we're willing and it doesn't always come
(00:04:23)
across as easy but there's an aspect of
(00:04:25)
ourselves where we are willing to work
(00:04:26)
hard there and it is very important for
(00:04:28)
us to do that and just like with I was
(00:04:31)
talking about with Jupiter bringing in
(00:04:32)
Saturn into Jupiter really helps refine
(00:04:35)
Jupiter here with Saturn where it is
(00:04:38)
that colder part of the chart bringing
(00:04:41)
in Jupiter really helps so bringing in
(00:04:43)
Inspiration bringing in buoyancy
(00:04:45)
bringing in optimism to wherever Saturn
(00:04:47)
is in your chart can really go a long
(00:04:49)
ways so let's take an example let's say
(00:04:51)
someone has Saturn in their fourth house
(00:04:53)
this would be the house of Home family
(00:04:55)
and also health so it would be important
(00:04:57)
for this individual individual and I
(00:04:59)
think naturally do take seriously the
(00:05:02)
home matters Family Matters Health
(00:05:04)
matters anything relating to tradition
(00:05:07)
or past or history or their roots in
(00:05:10)
some sense um again that's the area of
(00:05:13)
life so their approach to that could be
(00:05:15)
very longlasting again you know anything
(00:05:17)
in that area does tend to come later in
(00:05:20)
life too as they develop those qualities
(00:05:23)
so here perhaps the emotional qualities
(00:05:25)
and foundational qualities of the fourth
(00:05:27)
house so let's look at a um a sign with
(00:05:31)
this let's say Saturn in Aries okay so
(00:05:34)
Aries is a very you know outward very
(00:05:36)
action oriented sign so here the slow
(00:05:40)
and steady approach is actually very
(00:05:42)
much about short bursts of action right
(00:05:45)
so the way in which the individual in
(00:05:47)
this example U expand the home and
(00:05:50)
family stuff over time it'll be through
(00:05:52)
those short bursts of energies that
(00:05:53)
motivation that drive that inspiration
(00:05:56)
where they're taking it one step at a
(00:05:58)
time but it's small victories in the the
(00:06:00)
process and so they could be you know
(00:06:02)
again kind of competitive in the process
(00:06:04)
they could be you know seeing how they
(00:06:05)
can remove obstacles and all that stuff
(00:06:08)
that Aries is associated with in order
(00:06:10)
for them to build that long lasting you
(00:06:12)
know area of life so hopefully this
(00:06:14)
helps you guys as always if you have any
(00:06:16)
questions do comment down below and I'll
(00:06:18)
see you guys all next time for Uranus
(00:06:20)
take care
