What do you think of all my woo stuff?
(00:00:02)
>> I was so scared about the whole house
(00:00:04)
burning thing with the candles. I'm
(00:00:05)
[music] like, I love that you're doing
(00:00:06)
this thing, but like
(00:00:07)
>> little too soon perhaps.
(00:00:09)
>> Maybe a little too soon.
(00:00:11)
[music]
(00:00:12)
>> Hey everyone and welcome to the Heal
(00:00:14)
with Kelly podcast. I am your host,
(00:00:16)
Kelly Gors, and today we have the honor
(00:00:19)
of being with probably my favorite guest
(00:00:22)
of all time. Drum roll please. We are
(00:00:25)
here with my beautiful, amazing,
(00:00:27)
special, incredible, extraordinary
(00:00:30)
daughter named Riley Grace Goris. Riley,
(00:00:34)
welcome to the show.
(00:00:36)
[laughter]
(00:00:37)
Are you happy to be here? Are you
(00:00:38)
nervous? What's your What's your mood?
(00:00:40)
>> I mean, I'm pretty happy.
(00:00:42)
>> You're pretty happy.
(00:00:43)
>> Yeah.
(00:00:43)
>> You look good, I have to say.
(00:00:45)
>> Thank you.
(00:00:46)
>> So, we're just going to sit here and
(00:00:47)
have a conversation about some of our
(00:00:49)
favorite things. The internet loves you.
(00:00:51)
All of my friends love you. And mostly
(00:00:56)
people are tun writing in and asking me,
(00:01:00)
"How did you get so good at fashion?
(00:01:02)
You're a fashionista. You care about
(00:01:04)
fashion." My favorite story is um and
(00:01:07)
shout out to Mrs. Ruben and all the
(00:01:10)
teachers at the nest, uh your preschool,
(00:01:13)
but when they asked you about your
(00:01:15)
allergies, what did you tell them?
(00:01:18)
>> I said bad fashion. [laughter]
(00:01:20)
>> You said bad fashion. You told the
(00:01:22)
teachers that you were allergic to bad
(00:01:24)
fashion. So sassy. So where like how
(00:01:28)
have you always been into fashion? You
(00:01:29)
went through a pajama phase for a while.
(00:01:31)
>> I mean, yes. I walked to my favorite
(00:01:33)
store like every afternoon like after
(00:01:36)
school or something. And even when I
(00:01:38)
don't have school um to my favorite
(00:01:40)
store that was in the palisades. It was
(00:01:42)
called Isbo Morant.
(00:01:43)
>> Mhm.
(00:01:46)
And for like
(00:01:49)
a little while, I always walked there in
(00:01:51)
pajamas. And I mostly walked there in my
(00:01:54)
heart pajamas, which I always did.
(00:01:56)
>> Yeah.
(00:01:56)
>> Like my little heart pajamas. And I
(00:01:58)
didn't like I think that's the only one
(00:02:00)
I would really like really want to wear
(00:02:02)
to go there.
(00:02:03)
>> Mhm.
(00:02:04)
>> Cuz that's that's the only one that
(00:02:06)
actually looked like a normal like
(00:02:08)
normal clothes and not pajamas.
(00:02:10)
>> Mhm. But
(00:02:12)
>> and so then would you say that when we
(00:02:14)
were living right next to the Palisades
(00:02:16)
Village pre-fire obi
(00:02:19)
um that
(00:02:22)
potentially going to visit your favorite
(00:02:24)
friends, all of the Isabelle Morant
(00:02:26)
girls at the Isabel Morant boutique,
(00:02:29)
going there every day to say hi after
(00:02:31)
school or even on the weekend cuz you
(00:02:33)
were there every day. Do you think
(00:02:35)
that's where you got kind of inspired to
(00:02:37)
be more
(00:02:38)
>> edgy and risky with fashion? And also
(00:02:41)
when the village burnt down, the village
(00:02:44)
didn't burn down where like Isabella
(00:02:46)
want is, but the music I heard this like
(00:02:49)
the music on the speakers was still
(00:02:51)
going, which I find very just not that's
(00:02:54)
just very off. The music was still going
(00:02:57)
on the speakers.
(00:02:58)
>> Yes.
(00:02:58)
>> Which was just not
(00:03:00)
>> It was creepy.
(00:03:00)
>> It It was creepy cuz it the music was
(00:03:03)
still going on the speakers like in that
(00:03:05)
village, but how there was really no one
(00:03:08)
there.
(00:03:08)
>> I know. It's a little bit of like like a
(00:03:11)
like a Halloween movie.
(00:03:12)
>> I know. Because it was like like why?
(00:03:16)
>> I know. So, basically what Riley is
(00:03:18)
saying is once our house burned down and
(00:03:21)
the whole town of Pacific Palisades
(00:03:23)
burned down, everything but the village
(00:03:25)
and some houses magically were still
(00:03:28)
standing. And when we drove back through
(00:03:31)
the neighborhood
(00:03:32)
um shortly after the fires, it was very
(00:03:36)
eerie because it was all burned around
(00:03:38)
the village, but the village was
(00:03:40)
standing and the holiday music was still
(00:03:44)
playing over the loudspeakers of the
(00:03:46)
village and obviously was a ghost town
(00:03:48)
except for first responders.
(00:03:50)
>> And that was a that was a strange
(00:03:52)
memory. And I think Isabel is
(00:03:55)
going to open back again um in like
(00:03:59)
maybe a year. I don't know. They told
(00:04:01)
me, someone told me that.
(00:04:03)
>> How excited are you about that?
(00:04:05)
>> I am.
(00:04:06)
>> So, would you say Isabelle Morant is
(00:04:08)
your favorite clothing line?
(00:04:11)
>> Um
(00:04:12)
>> or designer.
(00:04:13)
>> For adults, yes. For me, I think Gap.
(00:04:18)
>> Gap Kids. Gap kids
(00:04:22)
and Zara.
(00:04:23)
>> Okay.
(00:04:24)
>> Um,
(00:04:28)
and these jeans actually might be Zara.
(00:04:30)
>> Those are Chloe.
(00:04:31)
>> They're Chloe. I like Chloe, too. I love
(00:04:32)
Chloe. I love Rabbit. What is it called?
(00:04:35)
>> English Rabbit.
(00:04:36)
>> English Rabbit.
(00:04:36)
>> Boutique in Beverly Hills that we
(00:04:38)
frequent a lot that we love.
(00:04:41)
>> Okay. So, when you grow up, you often
(00:04:44)
say, "Oh, mom, I wish I was just a
(00:04:47)
grown-up so I could have control over my
(00:04:49)
life." Um, when you grow up, what do you
(00:04:52)
see yourself doing? Like,
(00:04:53)
>> I want to be a YouTuber. I want to be
(00:04:56)
like this YouTuber. Her name is Pearson.
(00:04:59)
>> You Pearson's your favorite YouTuber.
(00:05:00)
>> Pearson. But I'm not going to do crazy
(00:05:02)
stuff like that.
(00:05:02)
>> So, you're going to be a YouTuber. What
(00:05:03)
are your YouTube's going to be on? What
(00:05:05)
are you going to make videos on?
(00:05:07)
>> Crafts, art, painting.
(00:05:09)
>> What Pearson does? Just a little lower
(00:05:13)
stuff like this.
(00:05:13)
>> Lower risk.
(00:05:14)
>> Yeah.
(00:05:15)
>> Not so dangerous.
(00:05:16)
>> Not so dangerous.
(00:05:17)
>> So Salish Matter was your original your
(00:05:20)
OG.
(00:05:21)
>> She lives in Hannah Beach and we were
(00:05:22)
going to be on the same street as her.
(00:05:24)
We moved, but this just didn't work out.
(00:05:26)
>> I know.
(00:05:26)
>> And I we when we see brown like
(00:05:29)
goldenhaired people on bikes, we're like
(00:05:32)
and they're behind us or something like
(00:05:34)
stop
(00:05:35)
>> golden hair. We always think, well, we
(00:05:37)
did see Sish riding around on an ebike
(00:05:40)
in our neighborhood and she
(00:05:41)
>> Well, I didn't cuz I It's like, why
(00:05:43)
didn't you I'm so mad at you cuz you
(00:05:45)
didn't say hi to her when you were just
(00:05:47)
so embarrassed when she was like right
(00:05:49)
there.
(00:05:50)
>> I know. I don't like approaching
(00:05:51)
celebrities. And then I was like, why am
(00:05:53)
I shy about approaching a YouTuber that
(00:05:56)
my child is obsessed with? I should have
(00:05:57)
done it for you. But um she was in a
(00:05:59)
store with her dad, Jordan,
(00:06:01)
>> with her Uggs. And I was in the house
(00:06:03)
with my Uggs on. So
(00:06:06)
>> I I promise you the universe will bring
(00:06:08)
us together with Salish at some point. I
(00:06:10)
mean we live like
(00:06:11)
>> I mean her dad is kind of like
(00:06:14)
>> Yeah, he's around. We're going to see
(00:06:15)
him.
(00:06:15)
>> He's around.
(00:06:16)
>> So besides YouTube,
(00:06:18)
>> his dad is her dad is really funny.
(00:06:20)
>> Really funny, right? Jordan Manner,
(00:06:22)
shout out. Um okay, let's talk about the
(00:06:28)
fire real quick.
(00:06:30)
We had to move down to Manhattan Beach.
(00:06:33)
Can you like do you remember it happened
(00:06:35)
almost a year ago? Can you share some
(00:06:38)
thoughts about like if it was scary? Do
(00:06:40)
you remember any stories from that day?
(00:06:43)
>> I don't really remember, but I was in
(00:06:45)
school and it was only like 1, I think,
(00:06:48)
and Marie picked me up and my teacher
(00:06:50)
was even like,
(00:06:53)
I think that's a better idea to pick her
(00:06:55)
up early.
(00:06:56)
>> Mhm.
(00:06:56)
>> You should go.
(00:06:58)
>> Yeah.
(00:06:58)
>> So, I went in the car.
(00:07:00)
>> Were you nervous? Do you remember being
(00:07:01)
nervous? I wasn't nervous cuz I was I
(00:07:04)
didn't know I like I went to the Beverly
(00:07:06)
Hills Hotel. I stayed there cuz
(00:07:07)
obviously I wasn't going to stay in that
(00:07:09)
house. Like obviously I I I didn't want
(00:07:12)
to. And even if someone was like, "It's
(00:07:14)
going to be fine. You can stay there."
(00:07:15)
I'm like, "Well, I'm not and I don't
(00:07:18)
want to. You can stay there. I don't
(00:07:20)
even care who I stay with that the
(00:07:23)
Beverly Hotel. I just want to stay
(00:07:25)
here."
(00:07:25)
>> Yeah. Like I'm not going anywhere near
(00:07:27)
that fire. Rebecca and Murray, my dad
(00:07:29)
and I think Eric maybe
(00:07:32)
>> your brother.
(00:07:33)
>> My brother um were there and we none of
(00:07:38)
us knew but that night like at after we
(00:07:42)
went to bed at like midnight I think
(00:07:45)
it burnt down.
(00:07:48)
Um
(00:07:50)
but ours didn't burn down at like 12.
(00:07:54)
Ours I think burnt down at like 4 in the
(00:07:57)
morning or something.
(00:07:59)
>> And how like what did that feel like
(00:08:01)
when you woke up and you realized?
(00:08:04)
>> I was just like wow. Cuz no one told me
(00:08:06)
that I was burnt down and
(00:08:09)
>> until I came home
(00:08:10)
>> and I was so mad. I was just like
(00:08:14)
>> I know.
(00:08:15)
>> Thank you everybody for lying to me.
(00:08:17)
>> No, I know. You know, sometimes it's
(00:08:19)
hard for adults to tell kids things
(00:08:21)
because,
(00:08:23)
you know, it's
(00:08:24)
>> But I wanted to know.
(00:08:26)
>> I know. And your dad wanted us to tell
(00:08:28)
you together, so he waited for me for my
(00:08:30)
plane to land and come back over. I was
(00:08:32)
out of town, so it was pretty
(00:08:34)
>> stressful for me to not be with you.
(00:08:36)
>> Can we move on to something else? And
(00:08:37)
also
(00:08:38)
>> moving on.
(00:08:38)
>> Um
(00:08:39)
>> Oh, yeah. So, what is that in your hand?
(00:08:41)
Um, your lips look very um moisturized
(00:08:44)
and glossy, by the way. What is that
(00:08:46)
you're holding?
(00:08:48)
Um, a lip gloss.
(00:08:50)
>> A lip gloss. And who's it by?
(00:08:52)
>> Summer Fridays.
(00:08:53)
>> Summer Fridays. And who started the
(00:08:55)
company? Summer Friday.
(00:08:56)
>> My sister Lauren and her and also her
(00:09:01)
friend Mariana.
(00:09:02)
>> Exactly.
(00:09:03)
>> I say it. Yeah.
(00:09:04)
>> And is that your favorite beauty brand?
(00:09:06)
>> This is bubble gum or what is it?
(00:09:08)
>> That's pink sugar. That's
(00:09:09)
>> pink sugar. This is pink sugar. I love
(00:09:12)
birthday cake.
(00:09:13)
>> Okay.
(00:09:13)
>> And guava.
(00:09:14)
>> I love the lip balms, too.
(00:09:16)
>> Yeah.
(00:09:17)
And then the eye patches. Oh, yes. I
(00:09:19)
just That's my favorite.
(00:09:21)
>> The eye patches are regular in our
(00:09:22)
house.
(00:09:23)
>> But yeah.
(00:09:24)
>> Amazing. Are you so proud of your
(00:09:25)
sister?
(00:09:26)
>> Yeah.
(00:09:26)
>> And do you want to start a company at
(00:09:28)
some point?
(00:09:29)
>> Um yes,
(00:09:30)
>> you do. So after your um chapter as a
(00:09:34)
YouTuber, what kind of company do you
(00:09:36)
want to start? Or you also I love when
(00:09:39)
you sing. You have a beautiful voice and
(00:09:41)
you often write songs with your nanny.
(00:09:42)
Do you love singing? Like how does how
(00:09:45)
do you feel? I take singing classes by
(00:09:47)
Julie
(00:09:49)
and
(00:09:49)
>> shout out to Julie Craig.
(00:09:53)
>> This is a hilarious story. There's two
(00:09:56)
Julies. My mom stylist and my singer and
(00:09:59)
I had Halloween party.
(00:10:02)
Um, someone came [laughter]
(00:10:06)
someone came and that someone was
(00:10:10)
>> the wrong Julie.
(00:10:11)
>> The wrong Julie.
(00:10:12)
>> There's a Julie C and a Julie Z. And we
(00:10:15)
love them both. That's hilarious. So,
(00:10:17)
>> oh, and also someone else was there with
(00:10:19)
his sister, his mom, and Car.
(00:10:24)
>> Yeah, Car is car your crush.
(00:10:29)
It's okay. She would have a smart face.
(00:10:33)
[laughter]
(00:10:34)
[clears throat]
(00:10:34)
>> Um, it doesn't matter. Anyways, yeah, he
(00:10:37)
is my thing.
(00:10:39)
>> He's your crush. So, Car is in your
(00:10:41)
kindergarten class. You just moved to a
(00:10:43)
new school which is a much bigger school
(00:10:45)
than where
(00:10:46)
>> it's a much bigger school. There is it
(00:10:48)
goes from like pony which pony my class
(00:10:51)
is like preschool
(00:10:54)
to eighth grade which I might go to
(00:10:56)
eighth grade and probably not. I don't
(00:10:57)
know.
(00:10:58)
>> Yeah. Do you love the school?
(00:11:00)
>> I love the school. A lot is going on.
(00:11:02)
Like you have to do a lot of stuff.
(00:11:04)
There's a lot of like parties. Like
(00:11:05)
there's a Thanksgiving party. There's a
(00:11:08)
Halloween. There was a Halloween party.
(00:11:10)
It's just like there was a parish fair.
(00:11:12)
>> There was a parish fair. It was a lot.
(00:11:14)
But it's so fun, isn't it? All the
(00:11:16)
stuff.
(00:11:16)
>> Yeah. It's just really fun.
(00:11:19)
>> And
(00:11:19)
>> it was my first time going in a school
(00:11:21)
bus, which was
(00:11:22)
>> Oh, yeah. Tell us about the field trip.
(00:11:24)
Where'd you guys go?
(00:11:26)
>> Um,
(00:11:28)
>> you were nervous at first, as I recall,
(00:11:30)
and then you ended up loving it. So,
(00:11:32)
tell us about that day.
(00:11:34)
>> I loved it. We went to the Discovery
(00:11:36)
Cube.
(00:11:37)
>> Favorite part of the day? least favorite
(00:11:39)
part of the day.
(00:11:40)
>> The whole thing was favorite, so that's
(00:11:42)
all I can say.
(00:11:44)
>> Okay. So, we're going to talk about mom
(00:11:46)
and dad now. So, what are your favorite
(00:11:48)
qualities about your dad?
(00:11:51)
>> My dad.
(00:11:51)
>> Mhm.
(00:11:53)
>> I
(00:11:53)
>> Mr. AG.
(00:11:55)
>> Sugar.
(00:11:57)
>> Your favorite qualities is that he
(00:11:58)
shares your love for sugar.
(00:12:00)
>> Yeah.
(00:12:00)
>> Okay. Favorite memory or funny story
(00:12:03)
about AG? Um when he was like holding me
(00:12:06)
on or actually I have two.
(00:12:08)
>> Okay.
(00:12:08)
>> Um when he was holding me on his
(00:12:11)
shoulder was like I scream you ice cream
(00:12:14)
or something like
(00:12:14)
>> I scream you scream. We all scream for
(00:12:16)
ice cream. [laughter]
(00:12:18)
>> That was hilarious. And then also when
(00:12:20)
he told the story about I think him and
(00:12:22)
Alexa. I think it was Alexa. Yeah.
(00:12:26)
Camping for the
(00:12:28)
>> Oh, I think Relle in the Amazon jungle.
(00:12:30)
>> Relle.
(00:12:31)
>> I think it was Relle. So Michelle,
(00:12:34)
>> how many sisters and brothers do you
(00:12:35)
have? Let's just give a shout out.
(00:12:36)
>> I have three sisters.
(00:12:37)
>> Okay. Who are they?
(00:12:39)
>> Lauren, Michelle, and Alexa. Alexa just
(00:12:41)
got married.
(00:12:42)
>> Yeah. And how beautiful was that
(00:12:44)
wedding?
(00:12:44)
>> It was amazing. We loved it. And then I
(00:12:46)
have two brothers, Eric and Gavin.
(00:12:48)
>> Yeah.
(00:12:50)
>> Very different ages.
(00:12:52)
>> Yeah. We got a whole array of ages.
(00:12:54)
>> Relle is the oldest.
(00:12:56)
>> Mhm.
(00:12:58)
>> And then I'm the second oldest. I'm
(00:13:00)
kidding.
(00:13:01)
I'm the youngest.
(00:13:02)
>> You're the youngest? Yeah. You guys are
(00:13:04)
booked at RG's are bookending all the
(00:13:06)
kids in between. Relle Gorus and Riley
(00:13:08)
Gorus. What do you like most about your
(00:13:09)
mom?
(00:13:10)
>> I mean, she did let me have like a whole
(00:13:12)
Cheerio, which it was massive. It was
(00:13:13)
like this big at Disneyland.
(00:13:16)
>> Oh, that's
(00:13:16)
>> Or not Cheerio. Churro.
(00:13:18)
>> Churro.
(00:13:19)
>> It was like Cheerio. It was like this
(00:13:22)
big.
(00:13:22)
>> We did crush some chips.
(00:13:24)
>> It was like this big.
(00:13:25)
>> Disneyland, that was such a fun day.
(00:13:27)
What was your favorite ride? I was a
(00:13:28)
little bit surprised. It's a small world
(00:13:31)
after all.
(00:13:34)
>> And what was your least favorite ride?
(00:13:36)
>> There were no rides that were my least
(00:13:38)
favorite ride.
(00:13:39)
>> Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash
(00:13:41)
Mountain or which is now Tiana's
(00:13:43)
whatever.
(00:13:44)
>> I think Splash Mountain is like a five.
(00:13:47)
>> Okay.
(00:13:48)
>> And Pirates of the Caribbean, the dips.
(00:13:51)
Creepy. All creepy. The parts drinking.
(00:13:55)
I don't know what it was creepy. I hated
(00:13:58)
it cuz it was like there was bumps. I
(00:13:59)
just that's my least favorite. That's
(00:14:01)
like a one.
(00:14:02)
>> And then the cannonballs like the fake
(00:14:03)
cannonballs off the ships was
(00:14:06)
>> I just And my shorts were just so wet.
(00:14:09)
>> They did get wet. Pirates of the
(00:14:10)
Caribbean were wet.
(00:14:11)
>> And even on Splash Mountain
(00:14:14)
on the T on the Tiana version, my shorts
(00:14:18)
didn't get that wet at all. My shorts
(00:14:20)
didn't get wet at all. But Pirates of
(00:14:22)
the Caribbean, even with that mini dip,
(00:14:24)
it didn't even get it got so wet.
(00:14:27)
Come on.
(00:14:27)
>> Come on. Yeah. I can't believe you went
(00:14:30)
for the Tiana ride, which is for all of
(00:14:33)
you.
(00:14:33)
>> The small little bumps.
(00:14:35)
>> Yeah.
(00:14:35)
>> Um I I didn't like those. I I Those were
(00:14:40)
my least favorite.
(00:14:41)
>> And then the big daddy drop
(00:14:43)
>> was better. When the small drops make me
(00:14:46)
feel like I was going to barf. the big
(00:14:48)
dropped it too. But when it was like the
(00:14:51)
small like the big one, it just it was
(00:14:55)
better than the small ones.
(00:14:56)
>> Oh, wow. You're brave, ma'am. Sometimes
(00:14:59)
the most powerful reminder we need this
(00:15:01)
season is you deserve to feel good. Not
(00:15:04)
just emotionally, but physically in your
(00:15:07)
[music] clothes, in your skin, in every
(00:15:09)
layer. That's why I love Honey Love.
(00:15:12)
Their bras and shapewear are designed by
(00:15:14)
women who actually wear them, and it
(00:15:16)
shows. [music]
(00:15:16)
The crossover bra is one of my go-tos.
(00:15:18)
It's wireless, stays put, and gives me
(00:15:20)
that held feeling without any pressure
(00:15:22)
or [music] pain. And their shapewear h
(00:15:25)
it's like a cozy hug that fits under
(00:15:27)
everything from thin cashmere and silk
(00:15:29)
to holiday [music] dresses. Supportive,
(00:15:32)
breathable, and it doesn't roll ever.
(00:15:35)
It's my secret weapon when I've been
(00:15:36)
indulging a little too much, if you know
(00:15:39)
what I mean. This season is busy, but
(00:15:41)
your comfort doesn't have to be

negotiable. Treat yourself or someone

(00:16:06)

(00:16:08)
Love. I have another question.
(00:16:09)
>> Yeah.
(00:16:10)
>> Legoland or Disneyland? You went to both
(00:16:13)
recently. What's your favorite?
(00:16:15)
>> Legoland was great. So, I think
(00:16:16)
Disneyland like
(00:16:17)
>> Disneyland. Yeah. Your favorite.
(00:16:20)
>> I mean, I love Legoland, but Disneyland
(00:16:22)
is just like nice. Anyway,
(00:16:24)
>> okay. So, um
(00:16:27)
>> Okay.
(00:16:27)
>> Sometimes you say that mom embarrasses
(00:16:29)
you. What do I do that embarrasses you
(00:16:33)
the most?
(00:16:34)
>> So, when I was driving to to
(00:16:38)
I think.
(00:16:39)
>> And what is Tada? It's my little dance
(00:16:42)
thing. I'm doing performing arts and I'm
(00:16:45)
doing the Jungle Book. At first, I
(00:16:47)
didn't know what that what that was. I
(00:16:49)
was like,
(00:16:50)
>> "What am I doing?" But now I know cuz I
(00:16:53)
watched it.
(00:16:54)
>> So, what did I do to embarrass you?
(00:16:57)
>> So, we were driving there and Miss Kenya
(00:17:00)
was actually No, it was on a Friday.
(00:17:03)
>> Okay.
(00:17:05)
>> I think it was the Halloween party at my
(00:17:08)
school.
(00:17:09)
>> Mhm. Okay. And what did I do?
(00:17:12)
>> You waved to her. Hi, Miss Clyde.
(00:17:16)
[laughter]
(00:17:18)
>> Oh my gosh. Do you remember any stories
(00:17:20)
as a kid? Cuz you when I always um
(00:17:25)
buckle you into your car seat, you don't
(00:17:27)
let me close the door until I go around
(00:17:28)
the side of the car and open my driver
(00:17:30)
door. So, you don't like to be closed
(00:17:32)
into a car.
(00:17:33)
>> Okay. Okay.
(00:17:33)
>> Can you tell the story?
(00:17:36)
So once when I lived in Beverly Park, I
(00:17:39)
got locked in the bathroom. Then I got
(00:17:41)
locked in the car in my apartment in
(00:17:45)
Palisades and I go to the bathroom by
(00:17:47)
myself. But I mean I didn't but I do.
(00:17:51)
>> But you have a little anxiety,
(00:17:52)
>> but like I don't close the door.
(00:17:56)
>> Yeah, cuz you're nervous to get locked
(00:17:57)
in again. So, you were what happened is
(00:18:00)
you were in the car seat and buckled in
(00:18:03)
and you didn't have
(00:18:04)
>> Oh my gosh. We Everybody wants to know
(00:18:06)
this.
(00:18:07)
>> Okay,
(00:18:08)
>> Marie probably wants to know this the
(00:18:11)
most. Okay,
(00:18:12)
>> she's been trying to figure out. I'll
(00:18:13)
say it right here.
(00:18:14)
>> I open the window cuz I don't I still
(00:18:17)
don't even want to get locked in with
(00:18:19)
someone else in the car like with Marie
(00:18:21)
in the car. And that's why I always open
(00:18:24)
the window. Marie, you're probably so
(00:18:25)
happy with this cuz you've been trying
(00:18:27)
to act me and I'm like, "Nothing. I just
(00:18:29)
want the I just want air. I just want it
(00:18:31)
to be open. I just want air in the car."
(00:18:32)
It's like,
(00:18:33)
>> "So, you just you don't like to you you
(00:18:35)
don't want to be stuck in a car again."
(00:18:36)
It was pretty scary. I almost had the
(00:18:39)
fireman like break the thing. I was in
(00:18:41)
in our car. the the the key fob was in
(00:18:45)
my purse and it wasn't reading it. And I
(00:18:47)
closed the door and she was in a car
(00:18:49)
seat and she was too small to unlock the
(00:18:53)
shoulder strap and it was you know that
(00:18:56)
four converge cuz she was still pretty
(00:18:58)
small and so she couldn't get out of her
(00:19:00)
car seat
(00:19:02)
>> and she couldn't reach the door to open
(00:19:03)
the door for me and the key was inside
(00:19:05)
and the other key was at our other house
(00:19:07)
in Malibu. So my dad and Eli or my his
(00:19:12)
driver, our driver
(00:19:14)
>> Yeah.
(00:19:14)
>> went and they got the key.
(00:19:16)
>> They had to drive really fast from
(00:19:18)
Malibu to Palisades and open it and I
(00:19:20)
just sat there like singing through the
(00:19:21)
car window in the garage.
(00:19:23)
>> She was showing me a YouTube video. I'm
(00:19:24)
like
(00:19:25)
>> through the window showing you a YouTube
(00:19:27)
video.
(00:19:28)
>> But you did pretty good. But ever since
(00:19:30)
then you like something open.
(00:19:31)
>> I did do pretty good. I I hated it.
(00:19:35)
>> You were panicking.
(00:19:36)
>> I was You handled it really well. said,
(00:19:37)
"Yes, clearly it was traumatizing cuz we
(00:19:41)
like to keep the windows and doors open
(00:19:42)
on the car now. But I keep telling you,
(00:19:45)
you're big enough now to not only undo
(00:19:48)
your seat belt, but open the door from
(00:19:50)
the inside out."
(00:19:50)
>> Can we talk to something that Can we
(00:19:52)
talk about something that actually makes
(00:19:53)
me bright in my mind?
(00:19:56)
>> Yes. Okay. No more trauma. Um,
(00:20:01)
sports. What's your favorite sport?
(00:20:04)
>> Tennis. I do not play soccer. I do not
(00:20:07)
play football. My mom really wants me to
(00:20:10)
>> play soccer.
(00:20:10)
>> Can I just tell people about that?
(00:20:13)
>> No, I just Soccer was a great sport and
(00:20:15)
you're so fast. I mean, you and I
(00:20:17)
>> I mean, I don't think you would ever
(00:20:18)
like want me to play football.
(00:20:20)
>> A lot of girls are playing flag
(00:20:22)
football. It's I think it's kind of a
(00:20:23)
fun sport. There's no tackling. That
(00:20:24)
would not be ideal, but flag football
(00:20:27)
would be fun. And you're so fast.
(00:20:29)
>> I don't want to do flag football. I
(00:20:31)
won't do soccer when I'm like 80. I'm
(00:20:33)
kidding.
(00:20:33)
>> Okay. [laughter]
(00:20:35)
What's your favorite place to travel?
(00:20:37)
>> Palm Beach. This is my going to be my
(00:20:38)
sixth time going. I've gone five times.
(00:20:41)
I'm going to go again.
(00:20:42)
>> And why do you love Palm Beach, Florida?
(00:20:45)
>> Cuz I
(00:20:47)
go with you and Marie and sometimes Anna
(00:20:50)
and usually Anna every single year.
(00:20:54)
>> And what do you like? Um, is there a
(00:20:58)
certain older Instagram influencer that
(00:21:02)
you met there once that you think is
(00:21:03)
funny? Sum.
(00:21:05)
>> Sum bell.
(00:21:06)
>> Sell. I was embarrassed. I really wish I
(00:21:09)
could meet her again, which I probably
(00:21:10)
can
(00:21:12)
>> cuz I was just shy and I wanted I don't
(00:21:14)
want to be shy anymore cuz I was shy and
(00:21:16)
I wasn't that into her. But now I'm
(00:21:18)
really into Rena. I haven't watched her
(00:21:20)
in so long. I just really want to see
(00:21:22)
her.
(00:21:22)
>> Okay. So,
(00:21:23)
>> shout out to her.
(00:21:24)
>> Shout out to her. What? Shout out to
(00:21:26)
Sel, everybody.
(00:21:27)
>> Sel.
(00:21:28)
>> Sel from Palm Beach. Oh, yeah.
(00:21:30)
>> I can literally do her voice. Like,
(00:21:31)
today is Sel from Palm Beach. It's just
(00:21:34)
so nice.
(00:21:34)
>> Yeah. And you do other voices well, too.
(00:21:37)
Can you do like um a little British
(00:21:39)
vibe? Like you're
(00:21:40)
>> right there, Chucky. You want to go to
(00:21:41)
Chippy or you?
(00:21:43)
>> All right. Right.
(00:21:44)
>> And who did you learn that? Yeah. Right
(00:21:46)
there.
(00:21:46)
>> Julian Huff.
(00:21:47)
>> Julianne Huff taught you that. Say it
(00:21:49)
one more time.
(00:21:50)
>> You're right there, Chucky. Going down
(00:21:52)
to Chippy, are you? [laughter]
(00:21:54)
>> The fish and chips place. That's a shout
(00:21:56)
out to Jules. Um we we went to Where
(00:22:01)
else do you like to travel? New York,
(00:22:03)
Maui,
(00:22:05)
>> New York,
(00:22:08)
>> Maui. Where else?
(00:22:08)
>> Mexico.
(00:22:09)
>> Mexico. We went to Punameita. Cabo.
(00:22:12)
>> Cabo. Punto with
(00:22:14)
>> But what do you like to do at these
(00:22:16)
hotels? Do you like to go in the pool?
(00:22:17)
Do you like to
(00:22:18)
>> go in the pool? I like to sunbathe. I
(00:22:23)
like to eat
(00:22:25)
French fries.
(00:22:26)
I like everything. Can we like Is there
(00:22:30)
something?
(00:22:31)
>> Yeah. What is your What do you want to
(00:22:32)
talk about? How about you ask me
(00:22:34)
questions? What do you want to talk
(00:22:35)
about?
(00:22:36)
>> You've only been asking me questions,
(00:22:38)
actually.
(00:22:38)
>> Yeah. Well, it's my podcast, girl.
(00:22:40)
You're in my studio. No. You want to ask
(00:22:43)
me some questions?
(00:22:44)
>> This is also my house.
(00:22:45)
>> That's true. So, do you want to
(00:22:46)
interview me for the last 10 minutes?
(00:22:48)
>> Do you think that I have a very
(00:22:50)
different style than you?
(00:22:53)
>> I actually don't think you do. I know
(00:22:56)
that you think you do.
(00:22:57)
>> Wrong. [laughter]
(00:22:59)
I know that you want me to be more girly
(00:23:01)
and fancy. And pre-fire, I had a lot of
(00:23:03)
high heels and a lot of very a variety
(00:23:07)
of fashion. Now, as we've been
(00:23:09)
replenishing organically throughout the
(00:23:11)
year, I have like one pair of each style
(00:23:15)
of heel. Also, like postco, a lot of
(00:23:18)
people don't wear heels anymore. So,
(00:23:20)
style in general has simplified. Um,
(00:23:22)
we're twins right now. I'm definitely
(00:23:25)
more casual than you. You're a little
(00:23:28)
bit more adventurous when it comes to
(00:23:29)
fashion. Like I don't like to wear
(00:23:31)
belts. You love flare.
(00:23:33)
>> I was going to wear a belt for this, but
(00:23:35)
just it didn't work with these white
(00:23:36)
jeans.
(00:23:37)
>> Yeah. But for the most part, I think our
(00:23:38)
styles are both pretty classic.
(00:23:40)
>> I mean, we are wearing the same thing.
(00:23:42)
>> We are. Okay. Next question.
(00:23:44)
>> What is your favorite place to go to?
(00:23:46)
>> It's a great question. I would say my
(00:23:51)
favorite place to go is Hawaii. Maui. I
(00:23:56)
am so happy when I get off and Big
(00:23:59)
Island. I have friends on the Big
(00:24:00)
Island.
(00:24:01)
>> Oh my gosh. We watched what is it
(00:24:02)
called? The Hawaiian um Jackson thing.
(00:24:06)
>> Oh, Jason Momoa. My buddy Jason.
(00:24:09)
>> Oh my god. I didn't know what they were
(00:24:10)
saying. I had so many questions. My mom
(00:24:13)
didn't even know what they were saying.
(00:24:14)
I was I mean they had a little thing
(00:24:15)
that
(00:24:16)
>> they had subtitles. So, you were asking
(00:24:17)
because they were speaking Hawaiian and
(00:24:19)
so every 5 seconds you were asking me
(00:24:21)
questions
(00:24:21)
>> and I was asking like how did he not
(00:24:24)
bleed when they did the piercing on him?
(00:24:26)
>> I know the spear thing which I'm glad
(00:24:28)
they didn't cuz that would have been
(00:24:29)
traumatizing for you to see. But um
(00:24:31)
>> Oh, by the way, can I say one thing?
(00:24:33)
>> Yeah.
(00:24:33)
>> I Oh, that's what I was going to say. I
(00:24:35)
forgot. I do not like the word blood. If
(00:24:37)
someone says it, like say it right now.
(00:24:39)
>> Blood.
(00:24:44)
>> [laughter]
(00:24:45)
>> you have like a kind of a phobia like I
(00:24:47)
did. I still do. So, I get it. Yeah. So,
(00:24:50)
we can't say blood around you. I'm going
(00:24:52)
to ask you two serious I'm sorry.
(00:24:53)
>> Oh, and I just said blood. Oh my god.
(00:24:55)
>> Oh my gosh. It's for spiraling. Um, just
(00:24:58)
a couple more serious questions. Try to
(00:25:00)
answer them to the best of your ability.
(00:25:02)
What
(00:25:04)
brings you the most joy?
(00:25:10)
Going on a trip to Palm Beach with you
(00:25:13)
and Marie.
(00:25:14)
>> With me and Mary. Oh, by the way,
(00:25:15)
everybody, Marie is our
(00:25:17)
>> the Palm Beach Queen.
(00:25:18)
>> She's the Palm Beach Queen. She um she
(00:25:20)
helps us. She's like Riley's babysitter,
(00:25:24)
my assistant. And
(00:25:25)
>> in Palm Beach, she's my babysitter.
(00:25:27)
>> Yeah.
(00:25:28)
>> In Palm Beach, she's like my actual
(00:25:29)
rapsitter.
(00:25:30)
>> Yeah, she's awesome. Um shout out to
(00:25:34)
Anna outside, too. She's awesome. And
(00:25:36)
Rebecca. Well, the whole we I've just
(00:25:38)
our whole world is awesome. I'm so
(00:25:40)
lucky. I have so much support. When are
(00:25:41)
you the saddest? What makes you sad?
(00:25:44)
>> When you go on a trip every few week.
(00:25:49)
>> I'm sorry. I know. I would love to take
(00:25:52)
you. I got to figure this out. Um Okay.
(00:25:57)
Thank you. Um what could I do better as
(00:26:00)
a mom?
(00:26:02)
Think about it. Seriously.
(00:26:05)
trips. Go on less trips without me.
(00:26:08)
>> Go on less trips without you. Okay. And
(00:26:11)
>> I mean, you're you're leaving today,
(00:26:13)
right?
(00:26:13)
>> I am. I'm so sorry. But you know what? I
(00:26:16)
forgot to tell you. Julie C, singing
(00:26:18)
coach, is going to come give you a
(00:26:20)
singing lesson and then take you out to
(00:26:21)
dinner today.
(00:26:23)
>> Today?
(00:26:24)
>> Yeah. [laughter]
(00:26:26)
>> Yes. Shout out to Julie Cy. Julie C.
(00:26:30)
Julie. I don't know. Julie. [laughter]
(00:26:34)
So that's See, see I do fun things when
(00:26:36)
I'm out of town. I get I set things up
(00:26:38)
so you're happy. Um
(00:26:43)
all of mom's woo woo stuff. So like
(00:26:46)
>> woo stuff,
(00:26:46)
>> my meditations, my crystals.
(00:26:50)
>> Um and
(00:26:51)
>> all these healers that come over,
(00:26:52)
>> the crystals were like
(00:26:55)
>> What do you think of all my woo stuff?
(00:26:57)
My candle ceremonies working with this
(00:26:58)
shaman. I was so scared about the the
(00:27:01)
whole house burning thing with the with
(00:27:04)
the candles.
(00:27:05)
>> Uhhuh.
(00:27:06)
>> Not that it scares me now, but I'm just
(00:27:08)
like
(00:27:08)
>> you got over it, but at first it was a
(00:27:10)
little
(00:27:11)
>> I'm like I love that you're doing this
(00:27:13)
thing, but like
(00:27:14)
>> little too soon perhaps.
(00:27:16)
>> Maybe a little too soon.
(00:27:18)
Okay, last two questions. Um, if you
(00:27:23)
could have any superpower,
(00:27:25)
what would it be? which could be like
(00:27:29)
seeing through walls or
(00:27:34)
I don't know what would that be like
(00:27:36)
running really fast or
(00:27:38)
>> No. Okay, I have my one.
(00:27:39)
>> Okay.
(00:27:43)
>> Invisible. So, I can eat two Starburst
(00:27:46)
and my mom doesn't see. [laughter]
(00:27:48)
[gasps]
(00:27:49)
>> You'd be invisible so you could eat two
(00:27:51)
Starburst when your mom doesn't see. Am
(00:27:53)
I strict about food and health or am I a
(00:27:56)
good balance?
(00:27:57)
>> You're a good balance, but like I mean
(00:28:00)
you do let me have like a juice box. You
(00:28:04)
do let me have those like yogurt things.
(00:28:06)
>> Uhhuh.
(00:28:06)
>> Shout out to that brand. And then
(00:28:08)
>> Stony Field yogurt box.
(00:28:10)
>> I love those.
(00:28:12)
Um and then you let me have those. And
(00:28:15)
then the juice box after which I kind of
(00:28:16)
like.
(00:28:17)
>> Yeah. And candy. You know what I did? I
(00:28:20)
taught you I think I think I did the
(00:28:21)
right approach because your dad loves
(00:28:23)
the sugar, right? I'm more of a savory
(00:28:25)
girl. Um, but what I did was try to
(00:28:30)
teach you how to pay attention to your
(00:28:31)
own body. Do you want to tell the blue
(00:28:34)
dye in the ice cream story?
(00:28:36)
>> I don't really remember that. I don't
(00:28:38)
want you to tell it. It just makes me
(00:28:40)
think of blue dye and then I get crazy
(00:28:42)
and I'm going to start standing up
(00:28:44)
dancing and just not having enough.
(00:28:47)
>> So you're She used to love behind our
(00:28:50)
house in Malibu this place called Malibu
(00:28:52)
Yogurt and she would go and get Was it
(00:28:53)
>> I just told you to not tell the story.
(00:28:55)
>> I'm going to tell them. I think it's an
(00:28:56)
important story. Cotton candy ice cream.
(00:28:58)
Right.
(00:28:58)
>> Important. Really? Or I you think that's
(00:29:01)
important
(00:29:02)
>> and Well, it just goes to show certain
(00:29:04)
things affect kids in a different way.
(00:29:07)
So, it had it was blue ice cream and
(00:29:12)
rather than say you can't eat it, I
(00:29:15)
said, "Let's pay attention to how this
(00:29:16)
affects you in, you know, when you get
(00:29:19)
home."
(00:29:19)
>> And then, can I make the sound effects
(00:29:21)
on here?
(00:29:21)
>> Yeah.
(00:29:22)
>> And then you're going to say, "And she
(00:29:24)
went." So 30 minutes later then she WENT
(00:29:28)
[screaming]
(00:29:30)
she went full tilt banshee where she was
(00:29:33)
like screaming and throwing things and
(00:29:36)
crying and I was like guys
(00:29:37)
>> I wrecked my whole Barbie house down. I
(00:29:41)
like I think I like I was carrying my
(00:29:43)
thing. I put my tables upside down. I
(00:29:46)
throwed my chairs.
(00:29:47)
>> She literally lost her marbles and mine.
(00:29:50)
And I said, "Riley, this is not your
(00:29:51)
fault. This is what the blue dye does to
(00:29:53)
your brain chemistry. And ever since
(00:29:56)
then, have you ever ordered that ice
(00:29:57)
cream again?
(00:29:58)
>> No, but I have had
(00:30:02)
blue little sour patch kids
(00:30:05)
>> and and it had a it was a smaller dose
(00:30:07)
in a blue sour patch and it affected you
(00:30:09)
the same way. So,
(00:30:10)
>> it didn't affect me the same way. I
(00:30:12)
wasn't mad.
(00:30:13)
>> You got a little edgy py 30 minutes
(00:30:15)
later. All of that to say I
(00:30:17)
>> Why is 30 minutes the key of edgy edgy
(00:30:20)
veggie? It's kind of when that hits your
(00:30:21)
bloodstream, maybe through the digestive
(00:30:23)
tract.
(00:30:24)
>> 30 minutes or like 31?
(00:30:26)
>> Depends. Maybe 31. You're right. But all
(00:30:29)
of that to say, I taught you to pay
(00:30:31)
attention to how different foods, dyes,
(00:30:33)
chemicals make you feel. So when you
(00:30:36)
don't feel right in your body, um you
(00:30:38)
can make decisions on your own. So I'm
(00:30:40)
not controlling you, telling you not
(00:30:42)
what to eat, but it's good to start to
(00:30:45)
observe on how different foods and stuff
(00:30:47)
make you feel. Especially when my dad
(00:30:48)
says you can have this, you can have
(00:30:50)
that.
(00:30:51)
>> I know. So, you have to learn to be your
(00:30:53)
own um
(00:30:55)
>> thing,
(00:30:56)
>> judge of what makes you feel good and
(00:30:57)
what doesn't, you know, and it affects
(00:31:00)
maybe that blue dye doesn't affect
(00:31:01)
another kid in the same way, although
(00:31:03)
I'd argue that it probably does.
(00:31:05)
>> It probably affects every kid, which is
(00:31:07)
>> Yeah.
(00:31:08)
>> real.
(00:31:09)
>> All right. Any last words?
(00:31:11)
>> Shout out to Julie C.
(00:31:13)
>> She's very excited about Julie C.
(00:31:14)
singing coach. What's your favorite way
(00:31:16)
to relax? Quick answer.
(00:31:19)
>> Is that on your favorite?
(00:31:20)
>> Yeah.
(00:31:23)
>> Go to the spa, get my nails done, have a
(00:31:25)
massage. I had a massage with Deborah. I
(00:31:28)
went at a hotel and my brother's
(00:31:31)
>> fiance.
(00:31:32)
>> Fiance. Um,
(00:31:35)
and we got a massage and I fell I was
(00:31:37)
awake. I was just closing my eyes or
(00:31:40)
eyes were open and then I fell asleep
(00:31:42)
and she was trying to wake me up and I'm
(00:31:43)
like, "Oh, hello. Hello. Yes.
(00:31:45)
>> So, yeah, you do relax with a massage.
(00:31:47)
Okay. And then what is your um favorite
(00:31:51)
thing to do with me? Your mom.
(00:31:53)
>> Um
(00:31:55)
>> do you know what I told you? I feel like
(00:31:56)
go to Disneyland.
(00:31:57)
>> Go to Disneyland is your favorite thing
(00:31:59)
to do with me.
(00:31:59)
>> Yeah.
(00:32:00)
>> Oh, Lord. Pray for me. [laughter] I'm
(00:32:02)
kidding.
(00:32:04)
I love Disneyland. Happiest place on
(00:32:06)
earth. Who makes you laugh the most in
(00:32:08)
your life? Who do you laugh with the
(00:32:10)
most?
(00:32:13)
Either my brother Gavin or
(00:32:17)
Daphne or Anna.
(00:32:18)
>> Dafany or Anna.
(00:32:19)
>> Ann Marie.
(00:32:20)
>> Anmarie.
(00:32:22)
>> Not me.
(00:32:23)
>> Fine. You.
(00:32:24)
>> Any last words that you want to say to
(00:32:26)
the Heal with Kelly audience?
(00:32:31)
>> Um,
(00:32:35)
you're the host, right?
(00:32:36)
>> Yeah.
(00:32:37)
>> Your host is amazing.
(00:32:39)
>> Oh, thanks, babe. I love you so much.
(00:32:42)
All right. Favorite song to sing or
(00:32:45)
dance to right now?
(00:32:46)
>> Anxiety.
(00:32:50)
>> Anxiety by
(00:32:52)
>> by the what do you remember the singer
(00:32:53)
saying?
(00:32:53)
>> Doi.
(00:32:54)
>> Doi.
(00:32:55)
>> Doi.
(00:32:57)
>> I don't know if it's fully kid
(00:32:58)
appropriate, but you know, context. Um,
(00:33:01)
okay. Last thing. This is the last
(00:33:06)
question I'm going to ask you. What do
(00:33:08)
you wish adults did better with kids?
(00:33:19)
Like what would you wish I did
(00:33:22)
differently as a parent? Maybe.
(00:33:25)
>> Again, the same answer for the similar
(00:33:28)
question that you asked me. Not go on
(00:33:30)
that many trips.
(00:33:31)
>> Okay. Be more present.
(00:33:33)
>> Yeah.
(00:33:34)
>> Yeah.
(00:33:36)
Do you know how much I love you,
(00:33:40)
>> dude? Yeah.
(00:33:41)
>> Dude, yeah.
(00:33:42)
>> Boom. Yeah,
(00:33:43)
>> bro.
(00:33:44)
>> Boom. Yeah.
(00:33:45)
>> Okay. Any Do you want to anything? Any
(00:33:47)
last thoughts?
(00:33:48)
>> Boom.
(00:33:49)
>> Booya.
(00:33:50)
>> Boom.
(00:33:51)
>> Okay.
(00:33:51)
>> Um,
(00:33:53)
no. Not not really. Not.
(00:33:55)
>> Okay. All right. Well, thank you for
(00:33:57)
being here with me today.
(00:33:58)
>> Bye.
(00:33:59)
>> I love you so much.
(00:34:00)
>> Thank you. Love you.
(00:34:01)
>> You're amazing. Have
(00:34:03)
>> a good trip. Bye.
