all right so welcome to this new segment
(00:00:01)
we're gonna be doing for the next 12
(00:00:03)
days on the houses what are the houses
(00:00:05)
mean in the astrology chart on that
(00:00:08)
fundamental foundation
(00:00:10)
you know what is the fundamental meaning
(00:00:11)
of these houses this will be important
(00:00:13)
for when we start to go into
(00:00:14)
combinations like Sun in the first house
(00:00:16)
Mars in the second house whatever and
(00:00:18)
this way we can understand you know
(00:00:20)
essentially what we're talking about so
(00:00:22)
first of all houses have to do with the
(00:00:24)
areas of life it's very important to
(00:00:26)
draw this distinction because I see it
(00:00:28)
convoluted a lot not you know there's a
(00:00:30)
lot of confusion too in terms of what's
(00:00:32)
the difference between a silence
(00:00:33)
difference between a house and a planet
(00:00:35)
it's very important to look at the first
(00:00:36)
house or any house for that matter as
(00:00:38)
the area of life then which it takes
(00:00:41)
place so for example your fourth house
(00:00:43)
is the area of home a family of your
(00:00:44)
emotions of your roots these are what
(00:00:47)
you might consider if you were to look
(00:00:48)
at your life as a whole the area of life
(00:00:51)
that's involved with that your first
(00:00:52)
house has to do with the self has to do
(00:00:55)
with your self-image it has to do with
(00:00:57)
your self willed energy what you know
(00:00:59)
the things in life that you initiate it
(00:01:01)
also has to do with on an external level
(00:01:03)
your goals your projects okay the things
(00:01:05)
that you build or create or start in
(00:01:07)
life as well as your physical body as
(00:01:10)
well on that outer level so it's
(00:01:13)
essentially everything that has to do
(00:01:15)
with you it's the most personal chart or
(00:01:18)
the most personal house in that sense
(00:01:20)
it's in the bottom left quadrant
(00:01:22)
everything on the left side of the chart
(00:01:23)
has to do with personal the personal
(00:01:26)
relationships a personal relationship
(00:01:28)
with self and then the bottom of the
(00:01:30)
chart has everything to do with our
(00:01:31)
intrinsic values which is our personal
(00:01:33)
values in life so you can see it being
(00:01:35)
on that first quadrant very much
(00:01:37)
relating to our own personal values and
(00:01:39)
our own personal self now it's a very
(00:01:41)
important house as you might guess it
(00:01:43)
being the first but it's part of the
(00:01:45)
four angles of the chart okay you have
(00:01:47)
your first house your seventh house your
(00:01:50)
fourth house and your tenth these are
(00:01:52)
the most important angles essentially
(00:01:54)
you've got your self which is the first
(00:01:56)
house you've got your relationships
(00:01:58)
which is the seventh you've got your
(00:02:00)
roots which is the fourth and in your
(00:02:02)
future legacy which is the 10th or
(00:02:04)
career right as you can imagine you know
(00:02:06)
these are the foundational aspects of
(00:02:08)
life once we have a good solid
(00:02:11)
foundation in these areas we're able to
(00:02:13)
go off into other areas of life much
(00:02:14)
easier and much healthfully more
(00:02:17)
healthier so the key with this with self
(00:02:20)
is once we understand who we are we
(00:02:22)
understand what we want and how to will
(00:02:25)
ourselves and have that momentum and
(00:02:28)
even confidence by knowing who we are
(00:02:30)
and what we want then we have that
(00:02:32)
foundation and that's just one piece of
(00:02:34)
the puzzle where we can have that
(00:02:35)
foundation in which the other areas of
(00:02:37)
life will be that much more you know
(00:02:39)
fulfilling and healthy so the key with
(00:02:42)
this is you know look for any planets in
(00:02:45)
your first house that's going to show
(00:02:47)
you the experiences planets are the
(00:02:49)
experiences it's going to show you the
(00:02:50)
experiences that you have in the area
(00:02:53)
that relates to self or self-image or
(00:02:56)
the physical body or any of these other
(00:02:58)
attributes and characteristics or areas
(00:03:01)
of life I should say then you've got the
(00:03:03)
signs now we don't always have planets
(00:03:05)
in the first house but we are gonna have
(00:03:07)
some sign at least one in the first
(00:03:09)
house so you want to look at what signs
(00:03:11)
are there especially the sign that is at
(00:03:14)
the beginning of the first house which
(00:03:15)
is your ascendant sign your rising sign
(00:03:17)
it's a very important part of the chart
(00:03:20)
as you would imagine it's the qualities
(00:03:22)
and characteristics the sign that has to
(00:03:24)
do with the self the self image how you
(00:03:26)
will yourself how you see yourself and
(00:03:28)
even what you're you know what you
(00:03:30)
desire in life generally speaking what's
(00:03:33)
important to you so very important there
(00:03:35)
now you can almost you can also go one
(00:03:37)
step further and you can look at the
(00:03:39)
ruler of the ascendant which is going to
(00:03:42)
essentially represent you and the charts
(00:03:44)
considered your chart ruler so for
(00:03:46)
example if your ascendant is Gemini you
(00:03:48)
would look for mercury and I'll put a
(00:03:50)
list down in the description below for
(00:03:52)
ruler ships so you can see this for
(00:03:55)
yourself but you can look at the ruler
(00:03:56)
of the first house which is gonna
(00:03:58)
represent essentially you in the natal
(00:03:59)
chart very important you know arguably
(00:04:02)
more important than the Sun and Moon in
(00:04:04)
your chart okay so what house is that
(00:04:06)
planet in in this example mercury what
(00:04:09)
sign is mercury in and this is going to
(00:04:11)
show you even more specifically the area
(00:04:14)
of life that might be important to you
(00:04:16)
or that you will yourself through as
(00:04:17)
well as those qualities and
(00:04:19)
characteristics that are developing
(00:04:20)
through the sign and that's a big part
(00:04:23)
of it too is you know the first house is
(00:04:24)
what we're continuously developing it's
(00:04:27)
a most like that beginning of the
(00:04:29)
journey right where we first take that
(00:04:31)
first step but we're always taking that
(00:04:33)
first step so it's in that way and so we
(00:04:35)
naturally develop more of those
(00:04:36)
qualities so if it's Gemini more of the
(00:04:38)
mercurial qualities of writing sharing
(00:04:40)
communicating socializing things like
(00:04:43)
that okay so that's one thing you can go
(00:04:46)
you can look at to go deeper the other
(00:04:48)
thing you can do is you can look at the
(00:04:49)
significant of the first house all
(00:04:51)
significative the first house are Mars
(00:04:54)
okay Mars is associated with that first
(00:04:56)
so you can look at where Mars is in the
(00:04:57)
natal chart and this will represent a
(00:04:59)
sort of other view of you in the chart
(00:05:02)
okay in terms of what motivates you what
(00:05:04)
are you driven towards and in many ways
(00:05:06)
what is your self-image so house inside
(00:05:08)
placement of Mars can be very important
(00:05:10)
with that so first
(00:05:13)
house angular house foundational part of
(00:05:16)
the charts also considered a firehouse
(00:05:17)
as you would imagine it's being
(00:05:20)
associated with Mars it's also
(00:05:21)
associated with Ares so again it's
(00:05:23)
willing its self-expression its
(00:05:25)
asserting herself into the world okay
(00:05:28)
again not qualities but it's the area of
(00:05:30)
life that is associated with those
(00:05:32)
things again it could be projects it
(00:05:34)
could be self-image it could be our
(00:05:36)
physical body okay etc they'll also be a
(00:05:39)
list down below for more specific
(00:05:41)
keywords to help you understand this but
(00:05:44)
Firehouse right so it has to do with
(00:05:46)
wouldn't you know what areas of life
(00:05:48)
inspire us and that sort of thing so the
(00:05:51)
other thing too you can look at is the
(00:05:52)
angular relationship you look at the
(00:05:54)
first and seventh house if there's ever
(00:05:56)
an imbalance with the first house
(00:05:57)
especially if you've got a node in the
(00:06:00)
first house the north or south node it's
(00:06:01)
very important to bring in that seventh
(00:06:04)
house energy okay if you forget a lot of
(00:06:06)
planets in your first house sometimes we
(00:06:08)
can go too much self-oriented too much
(00:06:10)
self-interested so in this example if
(00:06:13)
that's the case bringing in more of the
(00:06:15)
other oriented perspective you know the
(00:06:17)
seventh house is about relationships
(00:06:18)
it's about cooperation it's about mutual
(00:06:20)
understanding mutual respect so bringing
(00:06:23)
in those areas of life which is
(00:06:25)
essentially you know bringing in
(00:06:27)
relationships into our life and focusing
(00:06:29)
on them and having those kinds of
(00:06:30)
experiences will help balance out the
(00:06:33)
first house areas of life all right so
(00:06:36)
hopefully this gives you guys a general
(00:06:38)
look at what the first house
(00:06:39)
like I said there'll be some links down
(00:06:42)
below to help supplement some of this
(00:06:43)
but it's the area of life essentially
(00:06:46)
that has to do with self self-image the
(00:06:48)
physical body our goals our ambitions
(00:06:50)
and the things that motivate us in life
(00:06:52)
all right so have a good one I'll see
(00:06:54)
you guys all tomorrow for the second
(00:06:55)
house take care
(00:07:03)
you
