so you are packing for Hesh and you feel
(00:00:02)
a bit overwhelmed that's all right we
(00:00:05)
have all been through this experience in
(00:00:08)
this video I've put together the
(00:00:10)
ultimate list of Essentials based on my
(00:00:12)
own experience of H 2024 I will show you
(00:00:15)
and tell you everything that I took with
(00:00:17)
me that made my experience easier
(00:00:20)
alhamdulillah stick till the end because
(00:00:22)
I have something for you that I can give
(00:00:24)
you to make your packing even simpler
(00:00:28)
let's start
(00:00:33)
asalam alikum guys welcome to my channel
(00:00:35)
my name is sham and in this new video I
(00:00:38)
will be sharing with you in six
(00:00:39)
categories the essentials to take with
(00:00:41)
you to H inshallah so before we start if
(00:00:46)
you like my content Please Subscribe
(00:00:48)
share it with your friends and gives it
(00:00:50)
a thumbs up let's dive in category
(00:00:53)
number one is health and energy boosters
(00:00:58)
well H is a physically demanding
(00:01:01)
you should be prepared not just
(00:01:03)
spiritually but also physically you will
(00:01:05)
be doing lots of walking and the weather
(00:01:07)
could be really challenging last year we
(00:01:10)
had days that was really 50 to 53
(00:01:13)
degrees so we had to be like really in
(00:01:18)
good shape what I took with me is let me
(00:01:20)
grab
(00:01:24)
everything number
(00:01:27)
one electrolyte to stay hydrated and
(00:01:30)
have good minerals in your
(00:01:33)
body number two vitamin C and I would
(00:01:36)
just have one every day and from this I
(00:01:40)
would have two every
(00:01:42)
day I took also with me some antibiotics
(00:01:45)
in case I got a heavy flu and everyone
(00:01:50)
advised
(00:01:51)
me the amoxillin
(00:01:56)
and the the Z through Max and and the
(00:02:01)
molecule is aine so I've bought these in
(00:02:05)
Morocco cuz here in Holland they are um
(00:02:07)
not available in rock stores you have to
(00:02:10)
have um a doctor
(00:02:12)
prescription so I to this is optional
(00:02:15)
but I found it to be really good I would
(00:02:19)
uh take a spoon of Manuka Honey every
(00:02:23)
morning and Manuka Honey is really good
(00:02:26)
for um enhancing improving your immune
(00:02:30)
Sy system so you don't get sick what I
(00:02:33)
also took with me and I don't have it
(00:02:35)
here because it's finished is magnesium
(00:02:37)
and magnesium is really good for uh
(00:02:39)
improving your muscles especially
(00:02:42)
because you will do uh will be doing a
(00:02:44)
lot of walking so I wouldn't take these
(00:02:46)
things in big bottles like this cuz you
(00:02:48)
want to take you want to go light you
(00:02:50)
know and and you because you will bring
(00:02:53)
a lot of dates and abas with you and lot
(00:02:55)
of uh presents as well so I've put
(00:02:58)
everything in this little box and I felt
(00:03:01)
this one really
(00:03:04)
good and this was like enough for the
(00:03:07)
whole HH uh season alhamdulillah let's
(00:03:11)
jump into category two so let me see I
(00:03:14)
have a lot of things here on the ground
(00:03:17)
let's start with women okay so I took
(00:03:22)
three pairs of sandals the first sandal
(00:03:24)
I took is these Merill hiking
(00:03:29)
sandals as you can see it's quite thick
(00:03:32)
here but it's very soft from here these
(00:03:35)
are really good for walking long
(00:03:38)
distances um they are open I uh wore
(00:03:41)
them always with socks with good
(00:03:43)
breathable
(00:03:45)
socks we walked almost uh 90 kilomet I
(00:03:49)
think 90 km so investing in good sandals
(00:03:52)
is really the key for keeping up with
(00:03:54)
the walkin I took also with me for mina
(00:03:58)
plastic sandals and you can take with
(00:04:00)
you
(00:04:00)
like everything you want I took these uh
(00:04:03)
Bon stock white sandals it's easy to use
(00:04:07)
in Mina you just put your fot in you go
(00:04:09)
make woodo you go have shower and then
(00:04:12)
it dries very
(00:04:14)
quickly uh after finishing the hes
(00:04:17)
rituals we uh went to Mecca because we
(00:04:21)
stayed in
(00:04:22)
laia and I wanted something that I could
(00:04:25)
just sleep in my um feet without having
(00:04:28)
to open and close so so I have got with
(00:04:30)
me these gray M sandals but they were
(00:04:34)
really good actually I really like them
(00:04:37)
I even used them in the summer vacation
(00:04:40)
I took them with me uh they are very
(00:04:43)
comfortable and very uh handy and
(00:04:47)
practical my husband though took two
(00:04:49)
pairs of sandals I only have one here to
(00:04:51)
show you the other one I couldn't find
(00:04:53)
it and it depends on your medb um what
(00:04:57)
are the criteria for choosing sent
(00:05:00)
so please check it out for yourself my
(00:05:04)
husband took these from the North Face
(00:05:06)
and he did got some uh blisters at the
(00:05:10)
uh back of his feet so he was really
(00:05:14)
happy he had other ones
(00:05:16)
this what I also took with me for my
(00:05:20)
feet was these kind of
(00:05:22)
socks the yoga socks I don't know how do
(00:05:25)
you call these plastic things and I use
(00:05:28)
this for ta I also saw people using
(00:05:31)
things like this and these are good
(00:05:33)
because you can this is a you can make a
(00:05:36)
woodo on this one W uh but I didn't have
(00:05:39)
this with me I had it home but I didn't
(00:05:41)
take it with me cuz I thought it's it's
(00:05:43)
it's going to be really hot but I think
(00:05:45)
people did it so you could do it as well
(00:05:48)
I
(00:05:49)
think uh my husband took two sets of and
(00:05:53)
I really advise to take two sets because
(00:05:56)
um they are all white and they could get
(00:05:59)
really dirty if you taking also and you
(00:06:02)
find it very difficult to wear it take
(00:06:05)
some safety pins you can wear safety
(00:06:08)
pins and some adaps allow also even Anam
(00:06:11)
belt but my husband didn't has Anam belt
(00:06:14)
with him because he's not allowed to
(00:06:15)
wear it but uh yeah he had uh some
(00:06:18)
safety pins and I was just okay and I
(00:06:21)
would also recommend to take theam in
(00:06:24)
their own packaging so they can stay
(00:06:26)
clean and you can use them inshallah
(00:06:28)
another time if you go again for or
(00:06:32)
for as for clothes for women I took with
(00:06:35)
me uh think five pairs of abayas I'm
(00:06:39)
actually wearing one right now let me
(00:06:40)
show
(00:06:42)
you it's very
(00:06:45)
white fluffy and it's uh cotton linen
(00:06:49)
it's a blend between cotton and linen
(00:06:52)
and I have took with me I think five of
(00:06:55)
them in different colors different
(00:06:57)
shapes as well this is all
(00:07:01)
linen uh we took as well uh five four to
(00:07:05)
five uh large t-shirts I could just buy
(00:07:09)
small as it's my size but I took large
(00:07:11)
just because I knew it it's going to be
(00:07:13)
hot and you want just to keep everything
(00:07:17)
Airy um yeah just take enough underwears
(00:07:21)
enough t-shirts take one or two P
(00:07:23)
Pajamas not a lot and that's like
(00:07:26)
everything you need on clothes as for
(00:07:28)
category number three we will talk about
(00:07:31)
the sun and the heat protection well
(00:07:34)
last year 2024 during the HH days when
(00:07:37)
we had to the the walkin for um throwing
(00:07:41)
the pebbles for jamarat it was
(00:07:44)
incredibly hot like 503 sometimes like I
(00:07:48)
remember one day it was like 53 it was
(00:07:50)
really hot
(00:07:51)
unbearable so you should be really
(00:07:53)
prepared for uh some and what you should
(00:07:56)
take with you is
(00:07:58)
one this is a an
(00:08:01)
umbrella they different than you know
(00:08:04)
just normal umbrellas you should take
(00:08:07)
these on that I doubled they have two
(00:08:10)
sides number two is a fan this was my
(00:08:15)
favorites I was like take it all the
(00:08:17)
time like this and just put it on and
(00:08:21)
all the time walking to the jamarat I
(00:08:23)
had one and my husband had one as well
(00:08:25)
and we didn't regret bringing two of
(00:08:28)
these I also took a hat with me and I
(00:08:32)
don't know what it is I think I throw it
(00:08:33)
because it got really dirty it was very
(00:08:36)
cheap I just bought it from from China I
(00:08:38)
think you do need a sunscreen that is
(00:08:42)
fragrance free you also will need
(00:08:48)
a a fragrance free um after sun and I
(00:08:52)
use this also as a moisturizer sometimes
(00:08:56)
your skin can get really dry and
(00:08:57)
irritated so I use this
(00:09:00)
it's actually in this pack but I use the
(00:09:04)
pouches and the most important I
(00:09:08)
used was
(00:09:10)
this this is my backpack and I have
(00:09:13)
something
(00:09:15)
inside that my husband and I used and
(00:09:18)
everyone would envy us that we had this
(00:09:20)
with us because we didn't have to look
(00:09:22)
for water everywhere and we didn't have
(00:09:25)
to uh drink uh warm
(00:09:28)
water this is a
(00:09:30)
water bladder um a water pack so it's
(00:09:36)
eventually looks just like this and then
(00:09:39)
you put it inside this cooling bag so it
(00:09:41)
keeps it
(00:09:42)
cool you put it in
(00:09:45)
your backpack you close the backpack you
(00:09:48)
wear it and then you can drink all the
(00:09:52)
time cold water like people were really
(00:09:56)
jealous that we had these my husband
(00:09:58)
lost his uh after finishing has he left
(00:10:01)
it in the fridge in Mina so what what I
(00:10:04)
would do is um you know fill it and if I
(00:10:07)
could with zamzam water I think I filled
(00:10:09)
it most of of the time with zamzam water
(00:10:11)
we had Zam Zam water everywhere
(00:10:12)
alhamdulillah it was
(00:10:14)
available and then I will put it in the
(00:10:16)
fridge in our MIM camp and the next
(00:10:20)
morning I would take it and then I would
(00:10:22)
go with my husband do the Pebbles come
(00:10:24)
back and they put it in the fridge again
(00:10:25)
so this was very
(00:10:27)
handy let's jump to the next category so
(00:10:31)
in this category we will be talking
(00:10:33)
about hygiene and Care um there are a
(00:10:35)
lot of things that you can take with you
(00:10:37)
I'm going to only show you the things
(00:10:38)
that are really really important and you
(00:10:41)
can of course take other things with you
(00:10:43)
if you find it important for yourself so
(00:10:46)
the first thing I took with me is a
(00:10:48)
unscented
(00:10:49)
sanitizer and this is actually how I
(00:10:53)
bought it in this big bag and I said I
(00:10:57)
use everything in this p es they are so
(00:11:01)
handy they are big enough and you can
(00:11:03)
put enough product in it for like 2 3
(00:11:06)
weeks to go so as you can see this is
(00:11:08)
still Filled from H cuz I took two with
(00:11:11)
me and I didn't use them both so
(00:11:15)
yes the second thing you could take is
(00:11:18)
an first aid kit well I had put my
(00:11:21)
medicines all here with some um first
(00:11:24)
aid uh kit stuff but not a lot what you
(00:11:28)
also should take for men this is very
(00:11:30)
important a anti
(00:11:33)
shuing cream or gel I think they are all
(00:11:37)
creams um the most used one in England I
(00:11:41)
think it's
(00:11:42)
lanane but we couldn't find it here in
(00:11:45)
Holland so we took two for my husband
(00:11:47)
you could also use Vaseline just make
(00:11:49)
sure that everything is incented so
(00:11:52)
perfum free this is a baby cream and
(00:11:56)
this is
(00:11:58)
another brand I don't know what it is my
(00:12:01)
husband looked it up and bought it it's
(00:12:03)
a dermaplast active next what we have I
(00:12:08)
have just some cotton
(00:12:10)
swaps I have some scissors for cutting
(00:12:13)
your hair for uh getting out of state of
(00:12:17)
for women because men goes to Barbers
(00:12:20)
and we women just go to our hotel and
(00:12:23)
then cut a bit of our hair let me see if
(00:12:26)
I didn't forget
(00:12:27)
nothing we will need also a bag to put
(00:12:30)
all these things in and I have quite a
(00:12:34)
big bag with a hook let me show
(00:12:38)
you so this is my bag I put everything
(00:12:42)
here but it's just not organized and
(00:12:46)
it's big enough it has a hook so you
(00:12:48)
could you could just you know hang it
(00:12:50)
everywhere and what I also would do is
(00:12:53)
threw these everywhere these are
(00:12:56)
compressed towels I would threw some in
(00:12:58)
my backpack some in my small bag and
(00:13:00)
some in my totly bag um and you have
(00:13:03)
them in two sizes this is the other side
(00:13:09)
size this is optional you don't have to
(00:13:12)
take this this is
(00:13:13)
unscented wipes these are just some baby
(00:13:16)
wipes if you are running off out of um
(00:13:20)
uh sanitizer or gel so you can use
(00:13:25)
this let's jump to the next category so
(00:13:29)
let's talk practical stuff now um you
(00:13:32)
will need a travel adopter cuz in Europe
(00:13:36)
we use different things stuff done uh in
(00:13:38)
Saudi Arabia I know that in England they
(00:13:42)
use the same so if you're from England
(00:13:44)
you don't have to worry about that they
(00:13:46)
gave us one there in Mina camp we all
(00:13:48)
got um backpacks with some stuffs inside
(00:13:51)
we have got a travel adapter a small
(00:13:54)
Setta sanitizer we had a mask sleeping
(00:13:58)
mask for our eyes
(00:14:00)
and a small uh Zim zum bottle
(00:14:05)
inside and some uh you know that thing
(00:14:07)
you put on your ring to count your T I
(00:14:10)
don't know how do you call the
(00:14:12)
electronical T something like that so
(00:14:14)
they did give us some things the
(00:14:16)
backpacks were were not really from good
(00:14:18)
quality so they would really break very
(00:14:21)
quickly so I would just leave it there
(00:14:23)
if I'm coming back home so take your own
(00:14:26)
uh good quality backpack travel adopter
(00:14:29)
a power
(00:14:30)
bank I found uh travel air tag to be
(00:14:35)
also uh very important we put these in
(00:14:39)
our luggages as we traveled from uh
(00:14:42)
Mecca to Medina we went by uh highspeed
(00:14:46)
train haramain Railway I think it's
(00:14:48)
called yeah but you cannot take all your
(00:14:50)
luggages with you so we put these in our
(00:14:53)
luggages and the luggages went the night
(00:14:55)
before with boss with coach and we could
(00:14:58)
track where it is
(00:15:01)
packing cubes yes I have a list here so
(00:15:04)
I don't forget nothing packing cubes
(00:15:06)
guys I use this kind of packing cubes in
(00:15:09)
all sizes these are really from good
(00:15:11)
quality and you they have two Zips they
(00:15:15)
have the zip to close it in and to open
(00:15:17)
it and they have the zip to make the bag
(00:15:20)
smaller to compress it so I found this
(00:15:22)
to be from good quality everything I'm
(00:15:25)
showing you is in the description box if
(00:15:28)
you want to click on a link and see um
(00:15:32)
how much it cost me and where did I buy
(00:15:33)
it
(00:15:35)
from then I have some practical two
(00:15:39)
things
(00:15:40)
left number one is a small bag foldable
(00:15:45)
bag that you could put just in
(00:15:47)
your
(00:15:49)
uh I don't know somewhere in your
(00:15:52)
clothes or this one
(00:15:55)
was very handy why because sometimes
(00:15:58)
they would not let you go to the Haram
(00:16:00)
with big uh backpacks so you can just
(00:16:03)
take this put your shoes in and wear it
(00:16:05)
and go inside so this is number one and
(00:16:08)
the second one
(00:16:10)
is this kind of stuff well this one I
(00:16:14)
got from uh the the bite it was in that
(00:16:18)
backpack I was talking about they gave
(00:16:21)
us these things to put the pebbles in I
(00:16:24)
had my own let me show you I was really
(00:16:26)
good prepared
(00:16:30)
I had these from AliExpress and I think
(00:16:33)
that I put the link also in the
(00:16:34)
description box but they gave us this
(00:16:37)
and I found it to be really nice because
(00:16:39)
you can see that on the first day you
(00:16:42)
have to do the big jamarat seven times
(00:16:45)
and then on the next three days you do
(00:16:46)
21 21 21 seven small seven medium and
(00:16:50)
seven big
(00:16:52)
and I kept some of the Pebbles I'm crazy
(00:16:56)
I know uh that I uh used for uh jamarat
(00:17:01)
just as you know nice memory I'm going
(00:17:05)
to talk just one about one more thing
(00:17:08)
that is not essential but I found it to
(00:17:10)
be very handy and that is
(00:17:14)
a
(00:17:18)
steamer so let me
(00:17:21)
see so I took this steamer with me you
(00:17:24)
could Steam and you could also take all
(00:17:27)
the dirt from your clothes from the
(00:17:28)
other side so you can use it twice on
(00:17:32)
both
(00:17:33)
sides so this steamer is was from for me
(00:17:37)
really Game Changer cuz I took all
(00:17:40)
cotton and linen abayas with me and I
(00:17:43)
had also my um Moroccan white jalaba
(00:17:47)
that I wanted to wear on the way back
(00:17:50)
home because it's a tradition and
(00:17:53)
because we had everything in um packing
(00:17:55)
cubes and in
(00:17:58)
luggages it would wrinkle a lot and I
(00:18:01)
didn't like my clothes to look messy so
(00:18:05)
I would use this every time to uh make
(00:18:08)
my clothes and you don't have to go to
(00:18:11)
bring your clothes outside to iron it so
(00:18:14)
that was for me
(00:18:16)
really very hand and let's go to the
(00:18:19)
final thing so during the H you don't
(00:18:23)
want to run out of Dua you want to make
(00:18:26)
Dua all day long especially on the day
(00:18:28)
ofat
(00:18:30)
and um on the way to the jamarat making
(00:18:33)
the TA making the saf and marwa so you
(00:18:37)
want just to keep asking Allah things
(00:18:40)
and ask with the things that Allah
(00:18:41)
subhah wa tala has um written for us uh
(00:18:46)
from Hadith from Quran from different uh
(00:18:49)
sources so what I take with me is my was
(00:18:52)
version Quran cuz I know they don't read
(00:18:55)
watch in Saudi Arabia and this one is
(00:18:58)
small I could just put it everywhere and
(00:18:59)
take it with me it's I could put it in
(00:19:02)
my backpack but also in a small
(00:19:05)
handbag I took with me also this HJ and
(00:19:10)
omra handbook of
(00:19:13)
supplications from the prophet
(00:19:15)
sallallahu alaihi wasallam as he
(00:19:17)
described it um as the essence of
(00:19:20)
worship yeah so this was very handy as
(00:19:24)
well this little book it's very thin
(00:19:27)
it's called
(00:19:30)
[Music]
(00:19:32)
Froman
(00:19:36)
mamed and it's just some selected Dua
(00:19:39)
from Quran and from Sunnah so um I use
(00:19:43)
this like inat I did read read it many
(00:19:46)
many
(00:19:47)
times what I don't have with me and I
(00:19:50)
did took is a h Journal where I already
(00:19:53)
wrote all my duas personal duas but also
(00:19:55)
duas that people asked me to do for them
(00:19:57)
so I don't forget it
(00:20:00)
um and I had also with
(00:20:03)
me you want to do lots of salaat on the
(00:20:07)
prophet when you are in Medina and there
(00:20:10)
are so many ways to say salwat on the
(00:20:14)
prophet it's a really close book to my
(00:20:17)
heart because it's a Moroccan book and
(00:20:21)
yeah uh that's I think everything that I
(00:20:24)
took with me and I was really all what I
(00:20:27)
needed food
(00:20:30)
you don't have to take food there is
(00:20:31)
food everywhere there is water
(00:20:33)
everywhere there is there are stores
(00:20:35)
everywhere there is fruits everywhere so
(00:20:38)
please don't take lots of food with you
(00:20:39)
you can take some small things of course
(00:20:41)
some nuts maybe some uh chewing gums
(00:20:44)
some sweets I don't know just some small
(00:20:47)
things don't go heavy because you can
(00:20:49)
buy there lot of stuff and things so
(00:20:53)
this is it thank you for watching till
(00:20:54)
the end and as I said I'm promised I
(00:20:56)
have something for you that I want to
(00:20:59)

(00:21:01)

(00:21:25)
handy um I did download it from internet
(00:21:28)
I think I bought it and I cut it and put
(00:21:31)
it on this plastic so it stays good and
(00:21:34)
then I put a hole inside a pen and I did
(00:21:38)
pin it on my clothes or I just put a
(00:21:40)
rope inside um and put it around my neck
(00:21:43)
and I would carry this with me
(00:21:45)
