for joy.

The glory of Lebanon is bestowed on it.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be

(00:22:18)
Then the lame shall leap like a deer,

joy. For those the Lord has ransomed

(00:22:26)
They will come to Zion shouting for joy.

(00:23:34)
Be patient, brothers, until the Lord's
(00:23:36)
coming.
(00:23:38)
Think of a farmer, how patiently he
(00:23:40)
waits for the precious fruit of the
(00:23:42)
ground, until it has the autumn rains
(00:23:44)
and the spring rains.
(00:23:47)
You too have to be patient. Do not lose
(00:23:50)
heart because the Lord's coming will be
(00:23:52)
soon. Do not make complaints against one
(00:23:55)
another, brothers, so as not to be
(00:23:58)
brought to judgment yourselves. The
(00:24:00)
judge is already to be seen. waiting at
(00:24:03)
the gate. For your example, brothers, in
(00:24:06)
submitting with patience, take the
(00:24:08)
prophets who spoke in the name of the
(00:24:10)
Lord.

(00:25:51)
John in his prison
(00:25:54)
had heard what Christ was doing and he
(00:25:58)
sent his disciples to ask him, "Are you
(00:26:01)
the one who is to come or have we go to
(00:26:06)
wait for someone else?"
(00:26:08)
Jesus answered,
(00:26:10)
"Go back and tell John what you hear and
(00:26:14)
see.
(00:26:16)
The blind see again
(00:26:19)
and the lame walk. Lepers are cleansed
(00:26:23)
and the deaf hear.
(00:26:25)
And the dead are raised to life. And the
(00:26:28)
good news is proclaimed to the poor.
(00:26:31)
And happy is the man who does not lose
(00:26:34)
faith in me.
(00:26:38)
As the messengers were leaving, Jesus
(00:26:41)
began to talk to the people about John.
(00:26:45)
What did you go out into the wilderness
(00:26:48)
to see?
(00:26:50)
A reed swaying in the breeze? No. Then
(00:26:55)
what did you go out to see?
(00:26:58)
A man wearing fine clothes?
(00:27:02)
Oh no. Those who wear fine clothes are
(00:27:05)
to be found in palaces.
(00:27:09)
Then what did you go out for?
(00:27:12)
to see a prophet.
(00:27:15)
Yes, I tell you. And much more than a
(00:27:18)
prophet, he is the one of whom scripture
(00:27:21)
says, "Look, I'm I'm going to send my
(00:27:27)
messenger before you. He will prepare
(00:27:30)
your way for you.
(00:27:33)
Way before you. I tell you solemnly, of
(00:27:36)
all the children born of women, a
(00:27:39)
greater than John the Baptist has never
(00:27:42)
been seen.
(00:27:44)
Yet the least in the kingdom of heaven
(00:27:47)
is greater than he is.
(00:27:56)
The gospel of the Lord.
(00:27:58)
>> Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
(00:28:22)
My dear brothers and sisters in Jesus
(00:28:24)
Christ,
(00:28:26)
today the church invites us to rejoice.
(00:28:31)
That [clears throat] is why the Sunday
(00:28:32)
is called Ga Sunday which means rejoice.
(00:28:40)
We lit the rose candle to remind us that
(00:28:43)
Christmas is near and that hope is
(00:28:47)
already among us.
(00:28:50)
But the joy we hear about today is not
(00:28:54)
loud or perfect one
(00:28:58)
but it is quiet joy born in waiting
(00:29:03)
patience and trust.
(00:29:07)
The first reading the prophet Isaiah
(00:29:11)
speaks to people who are tired, afraid
(00:29:15)
and discouraged. He says,
(00:29:18)
"The desert will bloom,
(00:29:21)
the weak will be strengthened, the blind
(00:29:25)
will see, the deaf will hear,
(00:29:28)
the dead will live again, the lame will
(00:29:32)
leap, and dumb will speak the praises of
(00:29:36)
the Lord."
(00:29:40)
My dear friends, going through this
(00:29:41)
reading,
(00:29:43)
one of the most one of the beautiful
(00:29:45)
songs of Christmas came into my mind
(00:29:48)
which I'm very sure many of you are
(00:29:51)
familiar with. It goes like this. Mary,
(00:29:55)
Mary, did you know? I think you uh many
(00:29:59)
of you are familiar with this song. It's
(00:30:02)
a wonderful song which speaks the same
(00:30:04)
thing what prophet Isaiah says in the
(00:30:08)
first reading.
(00:30:10)
The desert will bloom, the weak will be
(00:30:12)
strengthened, the blind will see, the
(00:30:15)
deaf will hear, the dead will live
(00:30:18)
again, the lame will leap, and dumb will
(00:30:21)
speak. The praises of the Lord, Mary,
(00:30:24)
did you know
(00:30:27)
this is God's promise?
(00:30:30)
Things will not stay broken forever.
(00:30:34)
Even dry places can bloom again and
(00:30:36)
wounded hearts can be healed.
(00:30:40)
Many of us come to church today carrying
(00:30:44)
worries, family problems, sickness,
(00:30:49)
loneliness, uncertaintity about the
(00:30:52)
future.
(00:30:54)
God speaks directly to us and says, "Do
(00:30:58)
not be afraid.
(00:31:00)
I'm coming to save you."
(00:31:04)
The gospel, we meet John the Baptist in
(00:31:08)
prison.
(00:31:10)
The strong prophet who once boldly
(00:31:14)
announced the coming of the Messiah
(00:31:18)
has now doubts.
(00:31:22)
He sends his disciples to Jesus asking,
(00:31:26)
"Are you the one who is to come or
(00:31:29)
should we wait for another?"
(00:31:33)
This is very human.
(00:31:36)
Even strong believers can feel confused
(00:31:38)
and discouraged sometimes.
(00:31:41)
Even faithful people can ask questions.
(00:31:48)
Jesus does not get angry with Joan.
(00:31:52)
He instead points to his works.
(00:31:56)
The blind see, the lame walk, the poor
(00:32:00)
hear good news.
(00:32:03)
In other words, Jesus says,
(00:32:07)
look at what is what God is doing.
(00:32:11)
Look at the signs of love, healing, and
(00:32:14)
mercy.
(00:32:17)
Sometimes we expect God to act in
(00:32:21)
dramatic ways. But Jesus shows us that
(00:32:25)
God often works quietly, silently
(00:32:29)
through compassion, through kindness and
(00:32:32)
faithfulness.
(00:32:38)
The second reading, St. James reminds
(00:32:41)
us,
(00:32:42)
"Be patient, strengthen your hearts, for
(00:32:46)
the coming of the Lord is near."
(00:32:50)
Advent teaches us
(00:32:53)
how to wait,
(00:32:55)
not with anger,
(00:32:58)
nor with despite,
(00:33:00)
but with trust and perseverance.
(00:33:04)
Waiting does not mean doing nothing.
(00:33:09)
It means continuing to love, to pray, to
(00:33:14)
forgive, and to hope even when answers
(00:33:19)
seem slow.
(00:33:22)
My dear brothers and sisters,
(00:33:26)
Christian joy does not mean everything
(00:33:29)
easy,
(00:33:30)
but it means we believe that God is
(00:33:34)
still at work even in difficulty.
(00:33:39)
Today let us the Lord ask us do we
(00:33:43)
recognize his presence in small
(00:33:45)
blessings that we have?
(00:33:48)
Do we trust him even when we are unsure?
(00:33:53)
Can we rejoice not because life is
(00:33:56)
perfect but because God is faithful?
(00:34:02)
As we move closer to Christmas, let us
(00:34:05)
open our hearts again, let us rejoice,
(00:34:09)
not because all problems are solved, but
(00:34:13)
because the Savior is near.
(00:34:17)
May the joy of the Lord strengthen us,
(00:34:21)
heal our doubts, and fill us with hope.
(00:34:25)
Rejoice, the Lord is coming.
(00:34:29)
May God bless you all.
(00:36:19)
Shall we stand?
(00:36:29)
I believe in one God, Father Almighty,
(00:36:33)
maker of heaven and earth of Jesus

(00:37:16)
As we await with longing the coming of
(00:37:19)
our Lord Jesus Christ, dear brothers and
(00:37:22)
sisters, let us with renewed devotion
(00:37:25)
beseech his mercy that as he came into
(00:37:28)
the world to bring the good news to the
(00:37:30)
poor and heal the contrite of heart, so
(00:37:33)
in our own time also he may bring
(00:37:37)
salvation to all in need.

give you thanks, Lord, holy father,
(00:46:52)
almighty and eternal God, through Christ
(00:46:54)
our Lord.
(00:46:56)
For all the oracles of the prophets
(00:46:58)
foretold him, the Virgin Mother longed
(00:47:02)
for him with love beyond all telling.
(00:47:06)
John the Baptist sang of his coming and
(00:47:08)
proclaimed his presence when he came.
(00:47:12)
It is by his gift that already we
(00:47:15)
rejoice at the mystery of his nativity,
(00:47:19)
so that he may find us watchful in
(00:47:21)
prayer and exultant in his praise.
(00:47:26)
And so with angels and archangels,
(00:47:29)
with thrones and dominions, and with all
(00:47:32)
the hosts and powers of heaven, we sing
(00:47:35)
the hym of your glory, as without end we
(00:47:39)
acclaim.
(00:47:42)
Holy, [singing and music]
(00:47:44)
holy, holy
(00:47:47)
Lord God of [music] host.
(00:47:52)
Heaven [singing] and earth are full
(00:47:55)
[music] of your glory.
(00:48:00)

Hosana [singing]
(00:48:03)
in the highest.
(00:48:06)
[music]
(00:48:09)
Blessed [singing] is he who comes in the
(00:48:13)
name [singing]
(00:48:15)
of the Lord.
(00:48:18)
Hosana [music] in the highest.
(00:48:22)
[singing]
(00:48:26)
[music]
(00:48:35)
You are indeed holy, O Lord, the f of
(00:48:38)
all holiness.
(00:48:40)
Make holy, therefore, these gifts we
(00:48:43)
pray by sending down your spirit upon
(00:48:46)
them like the dwfall
(00:48:49)
so that they may become for us the body
(00:48:53)
and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(00:48:58)
At the time he was betrayed and entered
(00:49:01)
willingly into his passion,
(00:49:04)
he took bread
(00:49:07)
and giving thanks, broke it
(00:49:10)
and gave it to his disciples, saying,
(00:49:14)
"Take this all of you and eat of it, for
(00:49:19)
this is my body which will be given up
(00:49:22)
for you.
(00:49:46)
In a similar way, when supper was ended,
(00:49:50)
he took the chalice and once more giving
(00:49:53)
thanks, he gave it to his disciples,
(00:49:56)
saying,
(00:49:58)
"Take this all of you and drink from it,
(00:50:02)
for this is the chalice of my blood, the
(00:50:05)
blood of the new and eternal covenant
(00:50:08)
which will be poured out for you and for
(00:50:11)
many for the forgiveness of sins. Do
(00:50:15)
this in memory of me.
(00:50:41)
The mystery of faith.
(00:50:45)
>> Save us. Saveior [music and singing]
(00:50:49)
of the world.
(00:50:53)
Oh, by [singing]
(00:50:54)
your cross [music]
(00:50:57)
resction.
(00:51:00)
For by [singing]
(00:51:01)
your cross
(00:51:04)
resction,
(00:51:06)
[singing] you
(00:51:08)
have set [music] us free.
(00:51:15)
Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial
(00:51:17)
of his death and resurrection, we offer
(00:51:20)
you, Lord, the bread of life and the
(00:51:22)
chalice of salvation, giving thanks that
(00:51:25)
you have held us worthy to be in your
(00:51:27)
presence and minister to you. Humbly we
(00:51:31)
pray that partaking of the body and
(00:51:33)
blood of Christ, we may be gathered into
(00:51:35)
one by the Holy Spirit. Remember Lord
(00:51:39)
your church spread throughout the world
(00:51:41)
and bring her to the fullness of
(00:51:43)
charity. Together with Leo our pope and
(00:51:47)
Greg our bishop and all the clergy.
(00:51:51)
Remember also our brothers and sisters
(00:51:52)
who have fallen asleep in the hope of
(00:51:55)
the resurrection and all who have died
(00:51:57)
in your mercy. Welcome them into the
(00:52:00)
light of your face.
(00:52:03)
Have mercy on us all. We pray that with
(00:52:06)
the blessed virgin Mary, mother of God,
(00:52:09)
with the blessed Joseph, her spouse,
(00:52:11)
with the blessed apostles and all the
(00:52:14)
saints, especially our patron St. Agata,
(00:52:18)
who have pleased you throughout the
(00:52:20)
ages, we may merit to be coairs to
(00:52:23)
eternal life and may praise and glorify
(00:52:25)
you through your son Jesus Christ.
(00:52:39)
Through him and with him and in him, O
(00:52:43)
God, almighty Father, in the unity of
(00:52:46)
the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is
(00:52:50)
yours forever and ever.
(00:52:56)
[music]
(00:52:59)
[singing]
(00:53:15)
At the Savior's command and formed by
(00:53:16)
the divine teaching, we dare to say,
(00:53:21)
Our Father, who art in heaven,
(00:53:24)
be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will
(00:53:28)
be done on earth as it is in heaven.
(00:53:31)
Give us this day our daily bread.
(00:53:34)
>> And forgive us our trespasses
(00:53:37)
as we forgive those who trespass against
(00:53:39)
us.
(00:53:40)
And lead us not into temptation,
(00:53:43)
lead us from evil.
(00:53:46)
>> Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every
(00:53:48)
evil. Graciously grant peace in our days
(00:53:52)
that by the help of your mercy we may be
(00:53:55)
always free from sin and safe from all
(00:53:58)
distress as we await the blessed hope
(00:54:02)
and the coming of our savior Jesus
(00:54:04)
Christ.
(00:54:05)
>> For the kingom and the glory are yours

the faith of your church and graciously
(00:54:22)

with your will. Who live and reign
(00:54:27)

(00:54:29)
>> Amen.
(00:54:30)
>> The peace of the Lord be with you
(00:54:32)

(00:54:33)
>> And with your spirit.

>> Let us offer each other the sign of

Warmest greetings to all my brothers and
(01:15:25)
sisters, pilgrims of hope in the dasis
(01:15:28)
of sale. What an extraordinary year of
(01:15:31)
hospitality, of welcome, of prayer and
(01:15:34)
spiritual renewal the holy year, the
(01:15:37)
call by Pope Francis has had for all of
(01:15:40)
us. This little pilgrim passport has
(01:15:43)
traveled to all our parish communities.
(01:15:46)
All of you have been so hospitable and
(01:15:48)
making us welcome, celebrating the
(01:15:51)
diversity of gifts in our church, our
(01:15:53)
mindfulness to be people of outreach and
(01:15:57)
focused on Jesus Christ in whom we find
(01:16:00)
our hope. On the 21st of December,
(01:16:04)
we will gather at St. Thomas the Apostle
(01:16:07)
Clyde North for our concluding liturgy.
(01:16:10)
I hope as pilgrims we come together for
(01:16:13)
this one last activity for this year to
(01:16:16)
celebrate what God has done with us and
(01:16:19)
for us. Our liturgy will commence at 400

(01:16:30)
go on pilgrimage across from the college
(01:16:33)
to the church to celebrate mass at 5:00
(01:16:36)

(01:16:45)
